Moon snarled as a few metal orbs flew into his shoulder, wings and limbs. ''HUrry, Windsinger,'' He snarled as a storm of ice shards flew at the humans, burrying into their skin, heads, and more. He was growing tired and weak. blood began to stain his pelt, turning him purple and crimson. Reyanne, help me...please, He begged in his mind, hoping his pleas would be heard. ____ Mokai snarled, his long pelt that covered his back swayed as bullets blurred past him, a few grazing the soft scales on his belly. He lunged at a human, his fangs sinking into a human's neck, and flames roasting them from the fire that danced in his maw. _____ Mojag Watched the shifter and her companion from the bushes. He snickered and padded forward towards the male. He could tell he was blind, yes, but he knew that this male could ''see'' some how.... ____________ Dark was panicing as he carried riverdancer to a den and jammed the pup into it. He looked around, fear stricken as he looked for Daharro, but not venturing far from the small female pup. ______________ Icepelt Snarled and stood there, glaring at the humans. Ice shot from her paws at some of them as she shot Opal a fearful look. COuld she really do nothing? ''Hold on, please,'' She muttered softly. __________ Tipony closed her own fangs around the shoulder of Denali. She was panting heavily, and her eyes were darting from onething to the next, trying to find a solution..

Tekai could feel her heartbeat slowing as he limped closer to her, each step sending pain shooting up through his shoulder. She wasn't going to die, though. She couldn't. He wouldn't allow it. Not that he had any say in it, though.
Her heartbeat surged back into being, and Tekai exhaled, a nearly silent thanks sent to the Spirit Pack. It was sputtering, but slowly growing stronger, and he jumped back with a snort as she shifted downwards, giving a sullen yelp of pain at the landing.
She shifted rapidly into a snake, slithering away, leaving Tekai standing alone. A more courageous human advanced towards him, and Tekai jumped at the man, tearing his throat out, crimson staining the earth as he moved sideways.
Something was giving the humans more confidence, and he moved a few steps away from the safety of the place where Hanala rested, his senses extending outwards, and latching upon the appearance of another wolf.
An aura of malice seemed to surround the male, but Tekai hardly noticed it, and if he did, he didn't let on. He bared his fangs as he sidled forward to meet Mojag, "Don't you want to go run back to your mommy, little pup?" he smirked lazily, "Because you're not going to do much around here except scare the other pups." his tone took on a more taunting hint as he gazed steadily at Mojag, crimson eyes locked on something that they could not see.
-
Windsinger snorted, "I know, but that doesn't make me worry any less about you. Be careful, all right?" she nudged Blackfang's shoulder before turning all of her attention towards the wind, which whipped the branches of the trees around the clearing from side to side, responding to her directions like a well trained dog, leaping this way and that with no warning at all, making aiming harder than ever. The wing began to pick up on its own, gaining its own life, becoming less wind and more a part of the storm.
She threw herself sideways, concentration shattered as the fire rose up like a hungry beast in an explosion, licking the air even as the rain fell on it.
Windsinger exhaled, snorting as she threw herself forward, her body slamming into a human, and she tore the human's throat out with a swipe of her claws.
She jumped away from the corpse as the wind picked up, and she ducked against the ground, narrowly avoiding a bullet that had gone astray, carried by a gust of wind away from its intended target.
Windsinger grinned as she sent a concentrated blast of wind in the direction of another human, sending the human sprawling, gun flying out of its grip as Windsinger glanced around for Blackfang. It wouldn't do to fight if the humans he were in trouble.
Besides, she'd done as much as she could for the storm; the wind was blowing of its own accord now, and the rain was falling faster than ever in the air around them.
-
A surge of flame at the human who held him pinned's foot was enough to make the man yank his foot back, melted rubber dripping onto the ground as the rain sizzled against the hot material. The human cussed vigorously as Shadow rose to his feet, the sudden surge of adrenaline making him forget for a time that his body ached and his bones longed for a rest. He was Shadow; he'd once been the Alpha of this pack, and he wasn't going down without a fight.
The human whose foot he'd burned looked furious, but another rested a hand on his chest, telling him not to shoot, or so Shadow gathered, considering they weren't shooting.
But he wasn't going to wait around and find out, was he?
Whirling, Shadow lunged away, in the direction of the only familiar thing in this area; a flame. A flame thrower, no less, and the flame thrower was pointed at a wolf he knew.
Shadow wasn't thinking, or considering what this might do. He was on an adrenaline high, and he was convinced that he was invincible at this point; he'd fought the humans and won, even if the winning had only been because they wouldn't shoot at him.
So he jumped at the human carrying the flame thrower, the flame flying awry through the air as the human fell to the ground, Shadow's claws making short work of the human.
"Fornae?" he tilted his head, glancing at the young wolf, before turning his attention towards Tipony and Denali.
He hadn't been paying them any mind, he wouldn't have if it weren't for Fornae's strangled cry.
Whoops...
He hadn't wanted to get involved in this, but it was a little late now, "Why hello there." Shadow growled, anger skulking in his tone, "Why don't you let go of the pup and actually pick on someone your own size?"
Grand words, Shadow, but how are you going to back them up? he thought bitterly to himself, baring his fangs calmly in Denali's direction.
-
The white female hurled herself at a human, who crumpled to the ground without a fight, killed in an instant. Still, even as she did so, another group of humans strode forward, placing a gun ever so slowly into position, and squeezing the trigger.
The sound exploded into the air, paling in comparison to the other explosions, but there all the same.
The humans had broken into two groups; one to deal with Sunny, and the other to do with Larka, and they were protecting each other's backs.
This fighting thing wasn't so hard, was it?
The leader, a man named John, cocked his gun in Sunny's direction, firing calmly at the wolf's foot. If it hit, as it probably would (considering that Sunny can't exactly jump around on two legs), then he'd be out of the fight, and they wouldn't bother with him anymore. His power might cause an issue, but after that, he'd be in enough pain that he wouldn't be a danger.
There was a resounding explosion, pieces of shrapnel flying in the air. Men threw themselves sideways to dodge the pieces, but not all of them made it. In fact, several of them died in that blast, with the epicenter close enough to Sunny that it wasn't all that likely to be able to dodge it.
But Larka was an issue as well. The humans that were watching her hadn't moved at all, they were more highly trained than those who fought Sunny.
They were more focused on their job, and that was their downfall; several of them fell in the blast.
-
Opal's eyes widened, his eyes flashing indignantly, "I can hold on without you telling me to do so." never mind the fact that his blood was mixing with the rain with each pump of his heart.
Gritting his teeth against the pain, Opal staggered forward a few steps, fangs bared in Mojag's direction, even as the wolf slipped away, slipped past them, forgot about them.
For some odd reason, he felt like he'd been measured up against something, then decided that he wasn't good enough. He exhaled, a gasp escaping his chest as he finally noticed that the rain fell all around him.
It was a storm, and heck, he controlled them, didn't he? He could help this pack, even if it wasn't his. He could help Icepelt's family, help them just because Ice was his friend, and perhaps something else.
Or he could conserve his energy and survive.
No, he would do what it took to ensure her survival, even if it doomed him to death.
Opal took his attention from the pain and locked it on the clouds above his head, pouring energy and strength that he perhaps did not have into the storm above his head.
A few agonized seconds later, a bolt of lightning split the sky, and a roll of thunder resounded in the air, and Opal crumpled to the ground, eyes rolling back in his head.
-
Fornae bared his fangs fiercely, jumping angrily in Denali's direction. "Let her go!" he snarled, momentarily forgetting where he was, and the humans that surrounded them.
I'm toying with the two of you, and we both know it...
He recoiled. Where had the words come from? They had a dark, cold tinge, with shadowy edges, and he was startled that he knew where they'd come from; Denali. Denali injected that thought into his thoughts, as if he knew of his powers---
But all such thought trains were interrupted as a blast of heat rolled across his fur.
And then the fire came, and with it, searing, unimaginable pain?
Fornae gave a startled yelp, the flames burning across his tongue, and seeking all vulnerable flesh. They reached towards his eyes, searing, blistering the skin on his body as his legs buckled out from under him, feeling blisters erupt across his skin as the flames still burned against his skin and against his body.
The flames stopped coming.
It took him a moment to compute that against the wall of pain.
The flames were gone.
He wasn't going to die...
And that was his last waking thought.
Fornae, who prided himself on being strong, had fainted.
-
It looked like said wolf that was causing issues had been taken care of by the humans, so he didn't have to do anything there. He was proud of his humans for taking care of that young female; that left the black wolf pacing back and forth around a den...
That den looked recently used, too.
Hado stalked quietly forward in Dark's direction, fangs bared quietly. He didn't look all that threatening, but dark shadows passed above his head as the branches whipped in the air, the sky above him illuminated by a sudden flash of lightning.
A low rumble of thunder echoed as he reached Dark, grinning wickedly, "Well hello there, weakling. How's it going?" he tilted his head very slightly, before shifting it rapidly back into a more defended position, sinking his claws into the soaked soil.
A sprig of grass erupted upwards next to his paw, followed by another and another. Hado growled, shifting his weight off of that paw so that he could move it slightly to the side.
He didn't like how this made him feel inferior, controlling plants, considering how all of his other companions controlled shadows. That marked him as a freak around them, but at least with these weaklings, he hardly had to exert himself to finish them. He was Hado, wolves feared him.
Yes, he was a strange wolf. Was that his fault, though?

Hanala silently slithered to Mojag. She crept by his back leg and opened her mouth wide. She made sure her poisin sacks were full then bit deep into his leg, pumping all her venom in and slithering towards Tekai. {I have to pretend to bite you} she said so only he could here. {To make it seem like I am a normal snake} She opened her mouth and carefully touched his leg with her teeth. She dug her fangs into his fur but stopped. Then she ripped away and slithered off, already refilling her sacks. She whipped around and slithered fast enough so she could propell herself to bite Mojags neck. She hit his shoulder instead and pumped more venom into his veins, lashing around and sinking her fangs into the muscels of his shoulder. Soon she latched her fangs on and tugged, pulling to muscel and ripping it before falling to the ground. She slithered off, already demorphing. Soon she was a wolf again and raced forward, slashing the humans and leaping on Mojags back. She latched onto his hurt shoulder and grasped tightly. She lasged around and pulled, ripping off fur and skin. She smashed to the ground and scuttled off, slashing the humans legs and snapping them with his teeth. She doubled back and ran faster, then leaped on a mans back, killing him then grabbing his gun. she dropped it on the ground and aimed it at Mojag, pushing it up with her snout then pulling the trigger with her nail. It shot mojag in the foot, wedging deep into his paw. Hanala nodded, satisfied, and raced over to Tekai. "We have to try and escape" she hissed under her breath.

Blackfang nodded. "Aren't I always?" he asked, grinning slightly and trying to infuse a little humor into the situation. He glanced up; the storm had begun on its own now. Flanked by his illusions, he started tearing at nearby humans. Soon, his claws and fangs were soaked with blood. His eyes narrowed when he spotted a black wolf approaching Dark. That wolf looked hostile... and he certainly wasn't a pack member.
Blackfang was about to head for him when another group of humans started attackign him. He narrowly blocked a blast from a flamethrower with a shield of water and winced slightly as flying shrapnel cut into his side. The wound wasn't deep, though, and he kept fighting.
He glanced up in time to see a large object falling straight for him. He jumped out of the way just as in hit the ground and exploded, sending flames everywhere. The metal birds seemed to be throwing things... "Windsinger!" he called. "Is there any way you can take one of those down?" He wasn't sure she could, admittedly. They couldn't fly in this weather, and she was already rather tired... Them again, if this storm kept up, it might take care of the metal birds by itself...
----
Denali didn't even flinch as the female bit into his shoulder. Instead, he bit deeper, then tore a huge chunk of flesh out of her shoulder, laying it bare to the bone. He barely noticed the young male catching fire - that wolf wouldn't be a threat for a while...
He glanced up when another wolf spoke. Still holding a large chunk of Tipony's flesh, he spat it out at his feet and laughed, his fangs stained with blood. "Shadow... I wondered if you survived... I was kind of hoping you did. Last time was rather... unsatisfying..." He smiled cruelly, slashing a claw across Tipony's side and watching blood spurt. The female wouldn't be in fighting condition for a while... "But before we fight, would you be so kind as to allow me to get rid of these distractions? It'll allow you to live a bit longer, after all... and they're going to die anyway. You could say this will be more 'merciful'..."
Already, the humans were backing away, sensing that this wasn't there fight. They kept their guns trained, though, just in case...

Rain...Yes. A new hope rushed into Moon's chest as he noticed the rain and then, lightning. Even better. He lowered his gaze back to the humans. A taughting wolfish grin formed on his maw. ''Reyanne...Matsi...Spirit Pack. Guide us and protect us,'' He muttered softly as he reared up so that more shards of ice and jets of water could escape from his paws towards the humans. The small holes in his wings and limbs, and a few in his side, burned with pain, but adrinaline pushed out the thought of pain and giving up. The pack. He had to protect his sisters pack. The booming sound of the metal birds caught Moon of gaurd slightly. He looked up at them quickly again and looked back at the humans, thinking as he fought back. If they get wet enough, maybe, just maybe, i can freeze them...Where is IcePelt when i need her! he snarled as he thought. _________ Mojag laughed as his shadow lept away from him. Its tendrals seemed to wrap around Hanala's legs and paws, embracing her, but not causing harm, almost as if it was searching. ''Come now, Blind one. Do you really want to be here when another pack falls?'' He laughed as he circled slightly. ''Look at it this way, my humans kill you, and will make you listen to the dieing screams of your...female, or you both are taken by my humans. Face it, you loose,'' He laughed as his shadow lept back to him and took shape of again. ____________ ''OPAL!'' Icepelt yelped with panic stricken fear. The lightning gave her some hope, but the fury and fear that shook her chest was enough to get her lunging at the humans. The smartest move? No, and she quickly learned that when sherapnal(sp) burrowed itself into her chest, knocking the wind out of her, and causing her to let out a blood chilling scream that sent ice flying like a bomb. _____ Tipony fell to the ground, pain pumping with every beat of her heart. She looked at shadow, but only breifly. Her eyes closed for a moment. Do not give up, we still fill your lungs, The air almost scolded her as she breathed. The earth soon said things much similar, but tipony was too focused on her pain to listen. Im going to loose him. I cannot live without him, she said in her mind. The elements and world around her began to yell at her for loosing help, but she ignored them. ______ Sunny fell to the ground, pain and unbalance working against him. ONly one thought shot across his own mind as chaos burned around him, Callan...Please...Let her live. I need to save my daughter, please, he begged silently as he snarled, his eyes glaring at the humans as the purple and black fire danced around him. Larka looked at Sunny. She snapped at the spirits angerly as she noticed he fell. She was risking her own life and pups life for this male and this pack, so why would the Spirit Pack let Sunny fall? She growled and sank her fangs into another humans shoulder as crimson soon began to stain her own white pelt. The pain only made her fangs close around the human tighter. _______ Dark froze and turned towards Hado, his crimson eyes dark ((hahaha)) and angered. HE snickered as he noticed the plants. ''Lot less intemidating when your only that of plants,'' He growled. He knew a few tricks of the plant wolves, only because of Tala, but every last bit helped. A dark cloud hovered around him...No, no light, light helped plants. He snarled and bared his white fangs.

Hado grinned wickedly, "Ah, but who needs to look threatening? You look threatening enough, for sure, but you are an idiot and a fool." he bared his fangs, a mushroom springing to life at his right paw.
His claws sunk into the earth, and Hado grinned, launching himself forward, "Prepare to die, fool." he snarled, vines leaping from the earth and twisting around Dark's feet, as he swiped his claws towards Dark's face, fairly sure that the male wouldn't move, but, just in case, several more vines, these ones thorny, whipped from the earth, curling forward, a few ready to wrap around his mouth, and a clump of four or five per hind paw.
Hado was ready to fight now...
Another thorny vine rose from the earth and whipped forward to hit Dark's face, thorns seeking flesh furiously.
Hado took a step back to survey what damage his attack had done, preparing another one even as he surveyed this. Perhaps a flower that's pollen would make him sleepy, plus a few cacti under the paws would inflict some serious pain.
Another smug smile spread across his face as he glanced at Dark, shifting his weight back to prepare himself for an attack from the black male. Offering turns in a fight wasn't beyond him; Hado clung happily to the ideas of chivalry and of fair fights, but he still would shove such ideals away if Dark showed any signs of winning this battle.
-
Shadow bared his fangs, though that wasn't have as impressive as Denali's snarl, with his whitish fangs bared compared to crimson-stained fangs.
"Denali," he answered coldly, baring his fangs, "Welcome back to the Frost Pack lands. It will be the last thing you see before you die." he hardly seemed to notice the humans, or if he did, he was ignoring them fairly well.
The blood, though, was a little harder to ignore. Shadow winced as he watched Tipony's blood spurt into the air, snarling quietly in Denali's directions.
"What if I don't want you to finish killing these so called distractions? I'd much prefer to fight you when you were fresh; you won't have even the slightest chance at winning otherwise." Again, such brave words that even he knew were based upon an empty threat.
He was sure that Denali could tell, but pretending to be brave was better than admitting his cowardice.
"Come on, stop being a coward. They can't fight you anymore. Come on, let us fight. Don't hide behind your humans this time, just prove yourself to me." Shadow bared his fangs, taking a step forward as Tipony fell to the ground.
That was both of them fallen. They would not live much longer if this fight kept going.
The rain made seeing just a little bit harder, but this was going to be worth it. He would either win, or he would go out with a bang.
-
Windsinger snorted dryly. "Not always, my love." How strange. Those words felt awkward leaving her tongue, even now that they were facing death. But at least if she died, she would have an eternity with Blackfang.
Another explosion echoed in the air beside her, and she threw her head upwards just in time to see a crackle of lightning, and she smiled. The storm was beginning--
Windsinger's thoughts were frozen as a piece of shrapnel embedded itself in her leg. A trickle of blood stained her white pelt as it fell towards the earth, but she shrugged it off.
It hurt, but it didn't matter. She was running on pure adrenaline now, and she could force the pain back from her mind and instead focus on Blackfang. He was taking care of himself fairly well, she could live with that. As long as he wasn't too badly hurt, she would at least be thanking the Spirit Pack.
She'd have enough trouble once this was over without worrying about Blackfang.
She jolted as his voice reached her, and it took a few moments to decipher what he had said. "I can try!" she raised her voice so that it would reach him, "But the storm might do it for us!" she added, reluctant to try and knock those things from the sky as of yet. It could fall on someone, or those spinning blades might cut a wolf as the metal bird fell.
Either way, she wasn't sure she wanted to knock it from the sky yet.

Blackfang laughed. "Don't worry; I'll be fine..." He winced as a flying piece of shrapnel cut his left ear. Turning, he sent a wave of water crashing into several humans. They quickly fell onto the muddy grounded, where it was easy to dispatch them.
Momentarily not being attacked, he glanced around the clearing. It wasn't an encouraging sight. The pack was outnumbered by a huge margin - there were humans everywhere. Plus the humans were shooting flame and throwing exploding rocks that gave them at least equal weaponry to the pack. And those two metal birds continued to rain fire from above. Already, parts of the ground were burning slightly, seemingly unaffected by the rain...
There were also three wolves who seemed to be working with the humans. Perhaps killing them might have some effect? Shadow was fighting one; he could hold his own for a moment. So could Dark. But Tekai and Hanala? Hanala looked hurt, and Tekai was blind...
"Forget about the metal birds," he called to Windsinger. He didn't want to exhaust her any more, and the storm looked likely to blow them out of the sky, anyway. He motioned towards Tekai and Hanala. "Come on - they need help!"
He turned and began fighting his way towards the younger wolves...
---
Denali snorted. "Not likely, old fool. What do you intend to do, talk me to death? You're old and weak..." Shadow didn't even look intimidating. Denali grinned. Easy prey...
He laughed. "Is that so? Well, I think it's far more fair if I'm a little tired... After all, you're going to lose, and you know it." He gestured around the clearing. "Your pack is losing, Shadow... You're outnumbered more than ten to one. You can't fight such odds, and you can't run. Your own wolves have seen to the fact that you can't fly. You can't even effectively attack my choppers..."
"Look around you. Already, blood stains the ground, wolves lie still. It's only a matter of time until you lie there as well, with the rest of your pack..." Denali grinned smugly. "And there's nothing you can do about it. You see, I've got twenty times this number of humans ready to come in at a moments notice. Even a hundred wolves couldn't beat that many..."
"You think me a coward?" he snorted. "You lost last time. The only reason your pack even survived was because I didn't stay long enough to find out, after I took your mate. This time, I'm going to account for every body... personally." He put a paw on Tipony's throat. "And I'll start with this one."
He slashed his claws directly across her throat, cutting through her windpipe and feeling his claws glance off her neck bones...
---
Sesh slowed her frantic run as she approached the camp, cautious. If there really were humans around, she needed to be careful...
And thinking about avoiding humans kept her from thinking about Firepaw, or the crushing sense of betrayal and loss that hovered around her mind like a cloud. How could he be so cruel?
And how could I be so cruel? she wondered. I was right - if I tell the pack, I'm going to destroy his entire life. He might even die because of it! Even with what he's become... does he deserve that? Does anyone?
She sighed. What am I supposed to do? Perhaps she'd ask Windsinger; she might know...
The sound of gunshots startled her out of her dark thoughts, and she instinctively shrank towards the ground before realizing that the guns weren't even that close. She slowly slunk through the bushes towards camp...
There were humans attacking! Her eyes had only moments to take in the entire scene, but they were drawn to one black form particularly. Fornae...
Except he didn't have black fur; his was grayish. What had happened? She wanted to run to his side, but there were humans in the way...
But those humans had their backs turned to her. Bracing herself, she ran out from her hiding place and attacked them, killing two before they even knew she was there...
But she hadn't realized that there were more humans who were now behind her. She screamed in pain as one of the humans brought his gun around to point at her and pumped her left shoulder full of holes...

A blood chilling scream lept from Tipony in both the wind, earth and rain. THe elements felt her pain, felt her emotions as she gasped. She whispered to the elements with a few last thoughts and let out the last bit of her life, Happy thoughts on her shattering mind. Tell him i love him, was the last thing that she told the elements. ________ Dark Snarled and endured the attack. He spread his wings and lifted himself into the air, so that the vines snapped. Darkness lept from him, surrounding both himself, and Hado. He landed and trotted quickly around Hado, looking for a weakness. His instincts told him to fight, yes, But his head told him to grab RiverDancer and flee. Yes, he would see how this fight would start, test Hado, then if need be, flee with his daughter. IN the back of his mind, he still fearfully wondered where Daharro was. They were all he had left, they were his everything, and he needed to protect them, for Sahara.

Hado smirked coldly as the darkness surrounded him and Dark snapped the vines. This next attack would be more adapted. The pre-planned cacti sprouted from the ground beneath Dark's paws, spines embedding themselves in his paws.
He didn't envy the other wolf very much at that point, but he had more parts of this attack to implement.
More thorny vines slashed at Dark's face and eyes, seeking the vulnerable flesh of his features, and hopefully hitting him in the eyes, which would hopefully stop the larger male from attacking any time soon.
Several groups of thorn-covered vines erupted from the earth, this time several more were delegated to each leg, and more of them wrapped around his muzzle, pricking against flesh and drawing blood.
Well, that was the intended effect, anyways. Hado didn't stick around long enough to find out, instead he lunged sideways, out of the dark cloud that surrounded him.
His claws sunk into the earth as he waited for something to happen, Dark to yelp in pain or to lunge out of the cloud after him. Something, you know?
Something had to happen, or else he'd just get bored here.
An explosion of fire nearby sent a dart of shrapnel surging towards Hado, who gave a startled and sullen yelp as it drew blood, burrowing into his leg and seeking bone.
Painful though it might be, he dragged his attention back towards Dark.
-
"I am neither old nor frail," Shadow snapped, "I am halfway through my life, and just as strong as I was when I was but a summer old, so don't you begin to lecture me." No, he wasn't really fooling himself one bit, but those brave words were things he wanted to believe, things he told Denali simply because he wanted the other male to believe him.
Shadow shrugged proudly, "I can still defeat you, and the humans are going faster than you would believe." he bared his fangs coldly, eyes flashing with anger, "And you will die." he began to back up, his muscles tensed as he prepared himself to launch forward, claws extended. He wanted to, oh he did, but he wouldn't. Not yet. Instead, he would begin to prepare.
Oh. That wasn't good, "And the blood is of your 'people', and a few of my not so good fighters." he nodded his head proudly, lifting it up haughtily, leaving his throat unguarded. Perhaps that was folly on his part, perhaps not.
As Tipony gasped her final few breaths, Shadow flinched backwards, doing his best to disguise it by stepping forward, lowering his head and snarling fiercely.
"No, our pack was not killed simply because we are survivors. You left, which was your folly, but do not forget that I have led my pack for many moons, and, before that, I was a fighter of my pack, and many of our wolves are fighters." Shadow looked proud upon saying this as he shifted his weight forward, baring his fangs coldly. Denali would die this day, and Shadow would live to tell the tale.
-
Windsinger smiled softly, "Yes, be safe, Blackfang." she turned, her claws swiping across a human's throat, sending the woman collapsing to the ground as she jumped towards another, narrowly avoiding a bout of fire from the man's flamethrower, and dispatching him rapidly before leaping back towards Blackfang.
She refused to let him out of her sight in the chaos of the battle as she manipulated the wind to blow another bullet astray, knocking aside the human that had fired it with a snarl.
Windsinger swung her head towards, pricking her ears forward to listen to his words, before lunging after him, not wishing to be left behind. "Tekai and Hanala, correct?" she frowned, pacing rapidly at his side, her shoulder even with his.
"They really do need some help..." she picked up her pace, stretching her legs as they approached Mojag from behind, the wind stirring her fur as they drew nearer, Windsinger limping only very slightly as the blood continued to trickle through her thick white fur.
Taking advantage of the time between when they left and when they reached Mojag, Windsinger looked Blackfang over - he looked no worse for the wear, with only a few flesh wounds, things that would heal quickly.
-
Looking vaguely annoyed, Tekai focused his gaze on Mojag. "You're a fool. We shall never give up." a snarl tore through his chest as he catapulted forward, fangs bared and claws extended.
Bringing his claws down sweepingly, Tekai didn't wait to see if he drew blood before jumping away, "And you'll never get close enough to kill me, so don't even bother trying that. I might be blind, but I see better than you do." His voice carried the conviction of one stating a fact, though an undercurrent of a snarl ran through Tekai's voice as he began to circle Mojag, noting as he did so, the approach of two wolves.
His attention, focused as it was on Mojag, hardly seemed to lock on Hanala, but he did note her predicament. He would kill MOjag, then get her out.

Dark stayed where he was, enduring the pain of the vine for the moments. He could see the blazeing light of the fire through his dark cloud. Only then did he make his move. He let more energy into his dark cloud, making it expand more and more as he twisted and broke the vines, and used his wings to lift back into the sky. Hado was going to die. Painfully. He drifted in the air and then dove from the air, aiming for Hado, fangs spread. He hit something, some part of Hado, his fnags sinking in. What part of the other wolf, he wasnt sure, but he had flesh in his fangs. ____________ Moon was growing slightly tired, but perserverance pushed him on. His attention drifted to Dark. Fighting alone. He headed towards the large midrank male and Hado. He stalked forward, waiting for an opening of both Dark's and Hado's fight to appear. _________ Mojag only laughed as shadows lept from his body, leaving large white blotches on his pelt. The shadows clawed at Tekai's legs and belly, but only in a painfull teasing manner. __________

Hanala suddenly felt a sharp pain as a bullett hit her in the shoulder. The shoulder with no leg that still hurt. She screeched and fell. She limped over to Tekai after she killed an enclosing human. She looked at Tekai's shoulder and saw a bullett wedged in it. She grabbed it with her teeth and pulled it out, licking it quickly before turning to snarl, hackles raised, at Mojag and the humans. "We really should leave. We'll die if this keeps up" she whimpered, her voice low. Her shoulder was burning and she leaned slightly into Tekai for a bit of support. She whimpered quietly, the memories of losing her leg in her mind. She tried to take a step towards Mojag, but the pain in her shoulder made her legs buckle beneath her, and she fell, her nose smushing into the dirt. A human ran up, quickly, and kicked her sharply in the ribs. She screeched in pain and he ran back, pointing the gun at her chest. She snarled but couldn't get up, her front leg pinned beneath her. She scratched at the ground as another bullet hit her in the shoulder. She started whining, whimpering and howling all at once. A high wail shattered the air and she started crying, tears streaming down her muzzle. Her back legs kicked to no provail, not getting her up. And, even if she did get up, she would probably fall right back down again. "Tekai" she whimpered. "Leave. Please" she screeched, sobbing. Blood formed in a puddle around her and she bent her head, straining, to try and lick her shoulder. She screeched as the bitter taste of the bullet and the sharp pain hit her. She lay there, panting, as she slowly bled, her head becoming light.

It didn't take them long to draw closer to the camp, and Firepaw could now pick up not only loud explosions, but also rapid ones that came one after another, and he picked up his pace.
"You two should stay here. It won't be safe for you to come back." he spun around to face Casanova and Lantern, "I have reason to believe that the humans have returned," he couldn't remember when they first attacked, indeed, he wasn't sure he wanted to, but these memories, from this fight, would remain with him forever, "And it will dangerous for you to fight." his gaze lingered maliciously on Lantern, a challenge dancing in his orange eyes, the streak of green nearly swallowed by the orange as he sunk his claws into the earth, "But, I won't stop you if you want to fight, I don't guess." Firepaw shrugged, jolting as another explosion rocked through the air, followed by a pepperspray of smaller explosions.
He glanced at Casanova, and at Lantern, no ill will glinting in his eyes as he watched Lantern a fraction of a second longer than he had Casanova before he continued. "I'm sorry that I brought you here, but, now that I see what is happening, I must help my pack."
They'll need it...
Whirling, he lunged away, plunging through the treeline, thoughts racing. What if he was too late? What if his fight with Sesh had damned the pack? What if, because he was talking to that female, he'd doomed the pack to death?
What if, what if, what if?
But he didn't have time to dwell on this for long as his paws pounded in a panicked rhythm against the ground beneath him, a sudden cry soaring over the horizon.
Sesh.
He was about to break through the treeline, but Firepaw froze, panic rising in his throat. He needed to help his pack, and Sesh was in pain...
But the humans...
They were everywhere...
Until that moment, he'd failed to grasp the enormity of it, but now, as he stood stock-still, he could smell them all around him, and knew, even as he gathered his courage, that this attempt was doomed to fail.
But she was Sesh, and no matter their fights, they would still be friends. And Casanova was safe, so he didn't have to worry about protecting that fragile female...
Firepaw lunged forward before he could decide otherwise, claws bringing down the first human he could see in this haze. As the human crumpled to the ground, Firepaw lunged for the next one, leaping from the front this time.
It had taken them some time to regroup, but, as he catapulted forward, the woman who had been his target was ready. She raised her gun, and Firepaw had one of those 'uh-oh' moments before she fired, squeezing the trigger, and the bullet sped through the air, blood spraying up as the bullet punctured his leg. It had missed anything vital, but, that didn't make it hurt any less.
He plunged forward anyways, slicing her down as he continued searching around for Sesh.
Even in the chaos of the battle, it didn't take him long to find her...
The bullets had just stopped ringing in the air when he located her, surrounded by humans.
How had she gotten into such a stupid trap?
Firepaw lunged forward, narrowly dodging a bout of flame from a nearby flamethrower.
It was a pattern of dodging and lunging and ducking and weaving that carried him towards Sesh, and, after what felt like an eternity, he'd reached her.
He hurled himself at one man, bringing him down before any of them even began to notice him, leaping at another as quickly as he could.
The only thought on his mind was saving Sesh...
-
There was a sudden sharp pain in his back as claws dug into his side. Hado gave a violent snarl; he'd forgotten to look up!
Dark echoed this snarl with one of his own, jerking his head backwards, scraps of flesh caught in his teeth and crimson staining his fangs as he rolled sideways, still snarling. That would teach this male to come near his daughter! He had no time to worry about his son, not right then...
Hado bared his fangs in Dark's direction, cacti sprouting directly under the male's paws.
Dark gave a yelp of pain, leaping away as fast as he could, but there were still some spine embedded in his paws. Hado advanced, snarling. He had the upper hand, now, and Dark would not win.
But he misjudged the wounded male's desperate urge to protect his daughter.
Dark leaped forward, hardly noticing the pain in his paws as his fangs connected with flesh, and his claws ripped and tore at Hado's body.
Hado jumped away, snarling, "You are a fool, weakling... A fool..." with a taunting laugh, he began to circle Dark, who was favoring his left front paw, and cowering back from Hado.
Don't get cocky, Hado, his mother would have said if she were there, but she wasn't, and Hado misjudged the male as he grew ever cockier.
And when Hado jumped forward, he didn't bother to send even a thorny vine to hold Dark back, and he was met by a wolf who had hardly bene hurt by his attacks, and a cloud of darkness descended over the two, Dark's act.
Claws flailed, and fangs sought throat... Hado had wanted a battle to the death, and that was what he'd got...
Dark was angry, and fearfully desperate to protect RiverDancer...
Hado wasn't a sunflower, though. He could fight back as well, though the other male's attack had left him offguard and vulnerable.
They fought in a mindless circle of blows and retreats that seemed to take an eternity, but, in reality, spanned only a few seconds.
And finally, the dark cloud blew away, revealing two corpses, locked in a deadly embrace. Hado's fangs had found Dark's throat, a quick and merciful death, but Dark's claws had torn his stomach open, a slow and painful death for Hado...
Blood stained the earth, both Hado's and Dark's, and the world began to grow blurry around Hado, the edges creeping closer around him as his breathing grew slower.
He was going to die...
And even with his last breaths, Hado snarled, before a look of peace crossed his face, and he exhaled for a final time.
Death was not such a bad thing, after all, was it?
-
Shadows wrapped around his body, seeking and twisting around him teasingly. He snarled, but they weren't seeming to limit his movement, even if they were screwing with his powers some.
Tekai snarled fiercely, swinging around and swiping his claws against an enclosing human, sending that human crumpling to the ground before he launched himself at another human, swiping his claws across the human's stomach, sending the second human crumpling down before he stalked back to stand beside Hanala, listening to her words. "Yes, I know. Doesn't make it any easier to leave." he snarled, shifting his weight back, preparing himself to hurl himself at Mojag.
He froze as she leaned against him, his muscles stiffening.
He snarled as Hanala tried to move forward, eyes narrowing as the human kicked her, but he couldn't do anything. His attention was locked on Mojag, and he was trying to get a reading of where the male was and why he was there.
At Hanala's cry, he stiffened even more, his muscles tightening as he sunk his claws into the earth.
She was trying to get him to leave, but he wasn't that stupid. All he had to do was kill Mojag, and they'd stop focusing on her and move their attention towards him.
Tekai hurled himself forward, swiping his claws downwards in Mojag's direction.
The other male was caught off guard, and gave a startled yelp of pain as Tekai swiped his claws into flesh, but, before Tekai could regroup, Mojag whirled around and brought his fangs against flesh
Tekai snarled in pain, struggling fiercely as the bindings of shadows tightened around him, becoming bindings for real in that moment. He was stuck now.

Hanala looked up as Tekai snarled. She gasped and got to her feet painfully and slowly, shaking her head to clear it. She roared angrily as she saw Tekai stuck, and, ignoring the pain in her shoulder, launched herself at Mojag. She had aimed for his face or throat, but hit his chest. She slashed once then ran to Tekai, scratching desperatly at the shadows that held him. She limped over to grab his scruff, gripping it with her teeth and pulling as hard as she could. She couldn't tell if he was getting loose or not, for her eyes were tightly closed due to the burning, feirce pain in her shoulder. It shot to her brain and almost made her crumple in pain. She let go of Tekai and stumbled back, shaking her head and slashing the stomach of a stray human, making him fall to the ground in a bloody crumpled heap. "Tekai" she gasped, panting. "i-can't-get-you-free she whimpered. She grew thinner and sleeker, her fur being replaced with rippling orange and black fur. Her eyes turned a bright yellow and her claws grew longer and sharper. She roared the roar of an angry tiger and killed a human that was pointing his gun at Tekai. She gripped the mans shoulders with her claws then leaped, shoving the man into another human and jumping on his back, feriously ripping at it with her long claws. She was trying to find away to save Tekai, and the only way seemed to be to stop Mojag. She half raced, half limped over to Mojag, leaping onto a tree above his head and slashing at the top, hissing and snarling at him. {Try to get free!} she shrieked to Tekai. Her shoulder ached, but she kept slashing at Mojag to get Tekai free.

Blackfang nodded. "Yes, those two. A blind wolf and a young shapeshifter." He grimaced. "Neither of them have anything in the way of battle training..." He ran alongside her as they neared Mojag, blocking a grenade thrown their way with a wave of water.
He grimaced again as he saw Tekai trapped by Mojag, and signaled with his tail for Windsinger to circle around the other side of Mojag. He charged straight at him, while his multiple illusions attacked from different sides, doing no damage but making him seem to be everywhere. In the mean time, he took advantage of the distraction to bite into Mojag's flank and tear a large chunk of flesh off...
--
Everything flashed before her eyes in slow motion as Sesh crumpled to the ground. Her shoulder screamed with pain as a final bullet entered, and her head spun as another human kicked her viciously. She saw the human bring his gun around to shoot her in the head, watching as everything moved so agonizingly slowly in what was likely her last living moment...
The human's finger pulled on the trigger... and there was a spray of blood as he fell, the shot going wild. Sesh just watched, stunned, as Firepaw stood over the fallen human. The pain in her shoulder was forgotten for a moment as she stared at him...
He came back... she thought, shocked. And he just saved my life... "Firepaw," she whispered, her voice hoarse. Then her voice rose in panic. "Firepaw, behind you!" she yelled as two humans advanced on him...
--
Icepelt moaned, feeling her lifeblood pouring from her chest. She couldn't tell if she was fatally injured... but it didn't matter. She had to get up and stop the humans from killing Opal...
Her limbs screamed in pain, but she managed to get to her feet and look around. Then she realized her struggle had been pointless; the nearby humans were all dead from the icy explosion she had released when hit. It had been more effective than she thought...
Suddenly she whirled, feeling something approaching... and turned right into one of the missiles launched from the helicopters above.
She screamed once as the flames engulfed her, silhouetting her shape against the gathering darkness of the storm, before the explosive force tore her to pieces...
--
Moon whirled rapidly, slicing down two nearby humans. Finding himself temporarily free of attackers, he concentrated on one of the helicopters above, trying to freeze it. If he could freeze those strange spinning wings, it would fall... probably. He couldn't be sure...
He closed his eyes, grimacing with the effort as the water along the chopper's blades began to form into ice, slowing the spin down. Now the hardest part - to stop it entirely, fast enough that he could control where it hit...
He growled slightly as he prepared himself, then suddenly exerted his efforts and watched as ice formed along the chopper's blades... and then screamed in surprise as bullets ripped into his side. He turned his head to see a human advancing on him, dual-wielding two guns and pumping bullets into him.
Moon felt himself falling to the ground as blood spattered everywhere and bullets went in one side of him and out the other. Instinctively, he knew he was dead. Already, he couldn't breathe, and the pain was starting to fade as blackness crept at the corners of his vision...
The human didn't stop, though. As bullets pounded through his skull, Moon let out a final groan and died, his corpse mutilated by the bullets...
--
Larka stood over Sunny protectively, tearing out the throats of two humans who ventured near. The male couldn't die; what would the point of her risking her life be if he did? But as she watched him, she could see his eyes roll back in his head as he lost consciousness. He'd lost too much blood... She had to get him out of here, fast. But how could she carry him and fight humans at the same time?
She'd just have to be quick. She leaned down to grab Sunny, then turned around as she heard a rushing sound. Her eyes widened as she watched the helicopter, still covered in ice, tumble in seemingly slow motion towards her from the sky. Closer, closer... moving only an inch an hour, it felt like, and herself unable to move. She saw the panicked humans within frantically jumping out, and met their eyes as she watched. There, in the eyes of those completely alien creatures, who had been trying to kill her moments before, she saw something she could understand.
Both she and the humans knew they were going to die.
Time returned to normal and the helicopter slammed into her. Larka died instantly, crushed by the metal even before the helicopter exploded, scattering her body across the entire camp in pieces too small to be recognized...
Sunny wasn't hit by the helicopter, however... he merely was hit by the explosion at nearly point-blank range. His unconscious body was hurled into the sky, above the trees and into the forest, before falling down, limbs breaking on tree branches before landing in a tangle of thorns...
--
Mokai snarled at the nearby humans, his draconic form intimidating them. He slashed at several of them, tearing through their armor. He laughed as bullets bounced of his scaly hide; they couldn't hurt him...
Confident now, he advanced on the humans, chasing them. Suddenly, one of the humans used a flamethrower, and Mokai was engulfed in flames...
He wasn't immune to that, apparently... he could feel himself baking, and screamed as his skin blistered beneath his scales. He whirled, rolling to try and put the flames out. Instead, he rolled into another blast from the flamethrower. Now fully immolated, Mokai looked around frantically for water. He dived into a nearby shallow puddle, managing to extinguish the flames on his back...
Then his back was burning in pain again, but not from flames. He could feel the blood flowing; a human had worked a knife under his scales and stabbed him while he was vulnerable! He whirled, and abruptly fell, unable to feel anything.
He didn't understand. More humans descended on him, butchering him with their knives... yet after that initial strike to his back, he felt nothing. No pain... and he was so tired, anyway. So very tired...
He would sleep now. Robin was safe. He could find her in the morning...
--
Denali shrugged. "Fine, you're in perfect condition. While we're lying, I'm immortal, invulnerable, and I can move faster than you can see. Anything else we need to add to the list of things we both know aren't true?"
He grinned. "You're right, they are... Since you're not getting out of here alive, I think I can let you know a little secret, though..." He gestured towards the nearest human body. "They're all rigged. In other words, they'll explode and kill everyone nearby after they've been dead long enough... or if I die. So, if you kill me, your entire pack dies instantly." He laughed. "Puts it all in a different light, doesn't it?"
"Oh, it is?" Denali glanced around. "Really?" He pointed at Moon as he fell to the bullets. "He looked important... oh well..." He watched as Icepelt was blown to pieces, and Mokai butchered. "You're losing, Shadow..."
Then the helicopter tumbled out of the sky and crushed Larka. Though he could barely be heard over the deafening explosion, his voice was calm. "A fair trade, I think..."
He laughed coldly. "Look around you, Shadow. Your wolves are dying, and there's nothing you can do." His eyes narrowed. "The game's already won. It's just a matter of time..."
"Your move..."

Blood pooled on the ground beneath his claws as Firepaw snarled, daring the humans to come forward. They would not touch Sesh while he was still alive. He'd make sure of that.
Lantern and Casanova could be dealt with later, what he had to do was protect Seshana...
No one was coming, it seemed, and Firepaw sniffed the breeze. With the chaos of the battle, he couldn't smell a thing except for flames and gunpowder and humans. The scents assailed his nose as Sesh screamed his name.
Firepaw gave a violent jolt, his teeth bared in another snarl. What was that? Something behind him?
He whirled around, coming face to face with two approaching humans. Firepaw snarled, deeper in his chest this time and he sunk his claws into the earth and worked them in the dirt for a second or two before he threw himself forward.
One human was down before he'd had time to think, but the other was ready now.
Firepaw snarled fiercely, the orange in his eyes swallowing the green. He was summoning his fire now, and he would take this human down now.
The first bullet was fired; Firepaw narrowly dodged it, but there was another behind it, and another and another. He spread his wings, ready to leap away, but it was too late.
The bullets tore through his right wing, bringing a snarl of pain from Firepaw. There wasn't time to stop, though. He had to stop the other human now...
He hurled himself in the air, fangs sinking into the human's throat and tearing it out in an instant.
Wing held at an awkward angle, he turned to stalk back towards Sesh. He had to get her out of there...
-
Freezing from his desperate struggled as someone approached, Tekai stood, like a rabbit in headlights as he felt Hanala tearing at his bonds made of shadows, and he bared his fangs in Mojag's direction.
He froze again when she spoke.
He wasn't designed for battles, or for fighting. Why was he here? Whywashehere? The thought washed over his mind like a wave of panic, and Tekai snarled. "It'll be all right." he spoke firmly, lowering his head as she shifted and snapped his fangs fruitlessly. He couldn't get rid of the shadows...
And then they snapped, just like that.
Someone had distracted Mojag...
Tekai's head shot up, seeking his savior. A male, he assumed. There was no other description readily available in this chaos.
There wasn't time to dwell on that, thought.
Tekai threw himself towards Mojag, fangs bared fiercely. His teeth clamped around the male's leg, and he jerked back fiercely. There wasn't time to see what had happened, though, because Tekai was already leaping back. He wasn't going to risk his life when he could attack from afar.
Or, better yet, he could leave the fighting to the winged female and male that had just arrived...
-
Windsinger sighed, shaking her head. "It figures. They have to attack the wolves that can't fight..." she shrugged, "We'll fight for them, then..." she bared her fangs, snarling at the thought of getting Mojag's flesh between her teeth.
She might not be much of a fighter, but she was served by knowledge of fighting wounds. A debilitating move could be inflicted by a wolf who understood anatomy, after all...
In the short time between those words and when they reached Tekai and Hanala, Windsinger had already been musing over what to do once they got there. Perhaps a well placed snap to the throat, or maybe a claw to the belly... There were so many obvious ways to hurt a wolf, and then there were the less obvious...
She jerked back into herself at Blackfang's signal to circle around and attack from the other side. A snarl stretched across her features, and she threw herself forward, pausing with another snarl as Tekai launched one of his own attacks.
Then he was out of the way, and, without a word, Windsinger threw herself forward, claws slicing into Mojag's flesh as her fangs sought purchase on his body.
He would die for attempting to hurt the pack that was her home...
-
Shadow snarled fiercely. "That I'm going to lose, perhaps?" he shot back, sinking his claws into the earth. He would shred this insolent male into pieces for that! He was not old, and he was in perfect condition! The nerve...
Shadow snorted calmly, hiding the growing fear in his heart. Hopefully, anyways. He wasn't sure that he'd pulled it off. "Yeah, right. That would put you at risk, and your humans as well. I doubt you'd put yourself at risk... After all, if they're dead long enough, you might still be here, huh? And you wouldn't put yourself at risk. Therefore, these bodies are not rigged. Nice try, though." He smirked at the pep-talk, almost convincing himself that it was true. He wasn't certain, and he didn't want to do anything until he was, but he'd have to, or the pack would die. This way, there was only a chance of it...
Shadow winced, struggling to hide it, as Moon's death was pointed out to him. "Perhaps he was, perhaps he wasn't..." he gritted his teeth, "You'll never know, will you? Because you'll be dead."
His paws left the ground as Shadow jumped, fear clear on his face. Momentarily scared that the explosion was closer than it was, Shadow forcibly dragged his attention back towards Denali as he spoke. He couldn't figure out what the male was saying, but he knew it was important. He figured it was, anyways.
Shadow snorted, getting over his momentary fright. "The game isn't over until you give up. There's still a chance that we could win this battle, don't you forget that. It might look like you're going to win, but you're wrong if you think that."
His move, was it?
Shadow didn't take time to mull it over, just threw himself at Denali, flames exploding into existence all around them, forming a cage of sorts, flames reaching up into the sky, forming a wall. "My move, your folly."
