Hanla stopped eating and thinking. "How are you at flying?" she asked with a laugh. She looked through the forest but her ears flattened. "Somethings not right. Animals arn't making noise. She snarled. "We should check it out. it could be humans" she said, standing. ~~~ Wim stood by the side of the lake. Tears streaked down his face. He turned his head to his shoulder. He missed Tala and Saerue. Kida and kind Matsi. He fell to his knees and yipped sadly. Why was life so Unfair. Why wouldn't they at least visit? He had seen ripple visit. And others. So why wouldn't they? He would, but still he couldn't fly. He looked at his bare shoulders. "Why can't I have wings?" he muttered.

Leo woke up she was not tired nor was she hungry. She stood up on her paws and looked around the world seemed darker without her two best friends. She then started walking in no particular direction. After a while she ran in to Luna and Becky she stood there just out of sight and looked at Luna, she could hear Becky's problem about Luna. Quietly Leo sat down on her haunches and looked at Luna. Leo did need a new meaning for life, she had always wanted a pup so she stepped forward. "Hi Becky hi Luna how are ya'll today?" Leo looked at Luna's crying face and said, "Matsi is in a better place, it'll be okay." without even thinking Leo curled around Luna to comfort her. Already Leo's maternal skills were waking up.

//Hush, Wim.// Tala's voice echoed, but only in his ears. //Trouble is on the horizion, Do not linger on the past. If you survive this, the furture holds great things// She spoke softly, and at his paws the typical light yellow and green lily bloomed, as if she was trying to comfort him

Wim swung his head. "Tala?" he whispered softly. He looked for her, and his shoulders sagged slightly when he didn't see her. He picked one of the soft flowers and put it at his side. "I don't know what to do. What kind of trouble? Oh, Tala, I miss you" he whimpered sadly. He picked another flower and set it gently next to the other. He smiled softly. "Tala" he said again.

There was a soft chuckiling of Tala Ivypelt. //Wim, if i told you, then that would bend the fair rules of life,// She spoke softly, almost as if she was fading further away. //I must go now// She spoke softer. //THey need me//

Wim felt tears prick at his eyes. "no" he cried, standing. "Don't go! Stay! Please!" he sobbed. He dropped down again. He wanted Tala. He knew she said if he lived that he had a great future. But, if he died, he could be with her...no. he must live. For her. If only he could adopt a pup. Then he could name it tala, and have something to remember her by. He picked the flowers up gently in his mouth. he raced into the woods. He headed to other claimed pack territories. If trouble was coming, he should get away from it. He looked at the dying flowers in his mouth. They were Tala Flowers now. He nodded and raced on, being carefull of the flowers. He had to getta way. Just had to. /I hope im doing the right thing/ he thought sadly. If only he could have saved kida, then saerue and Tala wouldn't have killed themselves. He blamed himself for not helping. Then he stopped. He ran back towards camp. He would help the others the best he could. He had to. For Tala. He looked at his Tala Flowers as he lay down in his spot by the lake.

Windsinger snorted, "You're right, I generally am." she grinned, "And I'll bet it is annoying, to those who think they know everything and that kind of thing." she snorted, nudging Blackfang teasingly. It was nice to be with him, wasn't it? She enjoyed his companionship greatly.
Windsinger snorted to herself, "Being a Beta isn't so bad, you're right, but it's being a leader that I'm more worried about. I mean, I know it won't happen for a very long time, but it's still kind of worrying. I never really wanted to be a leader." she shrugged, "Not that that matters, anyways." Windsinger flicked her ear and settled back on the ground, relaxing her body. It wasn't so bad to imagine being a beta, and Blackfang had already been acting as unofficial Beta, it was only how she would handle it that worried her. What if she wasn't as good at being a Beta as Shadow thought she would be?
Still, she was glad for the change of subject. "We might as well. He might have things he'll want to tell us." Windsinger gathered her paws beneath her and slowly began to pad in Moon's direction - she might as well get started with this.
-
Fornae shrugged, getting to his paws. "We might as well. I don't feel like still being here when everyone freaks out." he shrugged again, snorting to himself. Things would go badly if he was there or not, he just didn't feel like being there. Wolves would be angry about Moon becoming Alpha, and about Matsi's death. He didn't intend to be there when Shadow got angry. And speaking of Shadow, where had he gone?
Not all that important, really. It was time for them to go on a walk, apparently. Fornae snorted again, flicking his ear and padding towards the edge of the clearing. He might not want to go on a walk, but it was the best option they had.
-
Callan grinned. "Finally." Sunny could be such a slow walker, couldn't he? But that wasn't her problem. Exuberantly, Callan leaped lightly forward, skittering into the clearing that the pack inhabited with a cheerful grin. Entertainment had arrived at last, hadn't it?
"Whoa, cool!" she lunged forward to examine the body of Matsi, "Hey, Sunny, look it this!" she glanced over her shoulder towards her father with a wide grin, prodding Matsi's body absently as she did so.
-
She was there, and then she was gone, leaving Shadow entirely alone on the pack territory. Too bad. He didn't feel like chasing her down, that female with a familiar name. She'd sounded like Matsi, also, sounded like Matsi with a hint of Dark's deep growl resounding in her voice. It was an interesting combination, wasn't it? It made him idly wonder how she'd gotten it, but, to be honest, Shadow didn't really care. He was busy being savagely happy at the death of the wolf who had lied to him his entire life. Lies were a part of life as much as living was, but he would never lie to her about such a thing. Shadow would've told her about his partner, if he'd ever had one before her.
But she lied about it, neglecting to mention it, and lying about the survival of his daughter, as well. Cruel lies, weren't they? He was glad she was dead. Glad. And he hoped she knew.
-
Sahara and Daharro stood quietly together, the little black and white pup surveying the world around him. Matsi was dead. He wold be happy, except for the fact that he wasn't. Matsi was dead, and he hadn't killed her. No member of the pack should die if he hadn't killed them. It was a waste that she was dead. He hadn't even gotten to steal her life-energy away.
Come to think of it, he hadn't done that since he'd been born into this body. And he hadn't needed to. That was strange. It had been so long since he'd been alive, he'd forgotten so much about it.
Sahara swept her tail proudly over her son, moving the young pup closer.
-
Tekai shrugged, "Without wings I can not fly, and blind as I am, flying would be dangerous. But I could fly, if I tried and I had wings, I suppose." he shrugged, shaking himself and examining the deer. They should probably save what was left for Fornae and her other sister, Sesh or something like that.
Tekai rose to his paws as well, "It could be dangerous," he warned, grinning, "It still sounds like fun." he added, swishing his tail from side to side, "Let us check it out."

Tipony nodded and stood to follow Fornae. ''This is becoming so....'' She didint know what the word was that she was going for. She sighed and shook her head. ''Never mind. i dont know what it is that this has become,'' She said with a small foolish grin. ----------- Sunny looked at Callan, then...he froze. HIs ears fell back and his eye glazed. ''Mother?'' He whispered softly as he padded forwards slowly. ''Mama?'' he asked, his young voice creeping out. He was beside Matsi's body now. He pressed his nose to Matsi's forehead, his eyes closing. ''Mother...im sorry. Im sorry i left. Im sorry you didnt get to meet your grandpup, and im sorry for everything,'' He said softly to the body as he pulled Callan closer with his paw. ------------- Dark walked up from behind Sahara, followed by RiverDancer, and sat next to her. RiverDancer sat between her parents, a happy look on her face. ---------------------- IcePelt trotted up to Opal. The rabbit she had caught hung limp from her maw. ''Opal,'' She said happily as she brought the rabbit to him. She placed it at his feet and looked up at him with a wagging tail and soft smile. Her tongue lolled out of her maw.

Becky was surprised with the sudden comfort season from Leo to Luna. She smirked, finding that she was harmless and Luna did need some kind of comfort and apparently Luna was enjoying having someone be close to her. Luna looked at her, “but wasn’t she happy here?” the pup asked. her grey eyes still pale but were now filled with streaming tears. ‘I want her back..’ She thought quietly.

Hanala laughed. "I was hoping you'd say that" she barked. "Do you mind if I...change?" she asked with a tilt of her head. She waited, but orange and black fur rippled across her fur, and her tail became more feline then dog. She laughed. She wouldn't really wait. But if it was trouble, she wanted to be completely ready with a small tiger morph.

Leo smiled at Luna's innocent question, "Yes she did love being here with us, but her time was up it was her turn to join the spirit pack." She nuzzled her affectionately. "Come on lets go somewhere where Matsi loved. Lets go to the Lake." Leo looked at Becky for confirmation then took off with Luna at her side and Becky in tow and they padded off to Eagle Lake.

Becky followed slowly, Luna wasn’t going anywhere without her for the time being. These two have been together ever since calypso lost her in the Lunar lands, poor pup will never be the same without her old adopted father. She sighed and smiled at the two, Luna and Leo. What a nice relationship that they got in just a few minutes. Luna did have that affect on wolves though, Luna is so soft and loveable, not even Becky could resist her charm, that’s why she continues to let Luna call her ‘sissy’ or ‘sister’. Luna smiled happily, scampering next to Leo. She never seen eagle lake for fun before, she just passed it and such, never really going to see it.

Blackfang nudged her back. "I wouldn't know," he replied. "I don't just think I know everything - I actually do," he joked, bantering easily. How he enjoyed her company...
"I never did, either." He frowned. "I'm not sure how I'd do as Alpha, either. I always argued with Matsi before, because I thought her choices could be better. But the pack is still alive, and I'm not sure if we would be if she had taken my advice instead." He sighed. "I guess that's the responsibility every leader bears, isn't it? Wondered what would have happened if you had made another choice?"
He got up and shook himself, trying to get rid of dark thoughts. Spotting Moon, he headed towards him, keeping pace with Windsinger. "I wonder if he's still upset that I opposed him back when he originally showed up?" Blackfang doubted it; after all, Moon hadn't seemed angry then, but it was still possible...

Callan wriggled indignantly away from Sunny's touch, glowering at her father. "Could you not?" she grumbled glaring, "I don't see why you're so unhappy about this. She's dead. Get over it and move on with life. You've done it before, do it again. It's not that hard." venom leaked into Callan's voice as she spoke, settling down on the ground several tail-lengths away from Sunny, her body stiffening. She didn't want him to touch her.
-
Fornae snorted. "I don't either. And it's not worth fighting the change, it'll change anyways." a hint of sadness leaked into his voice, which was buried quickly as he went on cheerfully, perhaps a little too cheerfully, "But that's not too bad, to be honest. Change isn't so bad, mostly."
The rest of that was left unsaid. The depth of his unsettlement because of the battles were left unsaid, shoved to the back of Fornae's mind in a never ending struggle to forget. He was an almost-killer now, an almost-monster, and almost was closer than he'd ever wanted to get. His power had betrayed him, and in ways that he'd never guessed it would. It worse than anything he'd ever imagined, but somehow he'd hidden it.
Hiding things from the wolves he loved was easier now, which must have been the only good thing to come of this.
-
Opal glanced up as Icepelt approached him, his eyes narrowing slightly. He was confused now, confused as to why she'd left. He'd wanted to talk with her, fully apologize after tripping over her tail, but she'd just split. Females were so confusing. Take Icepelt, for example. Here she was, presenting this rabbit to him as if he were the Alpha of the pack. So strange...
"Yeah?" He'd play stupid for now. It wasn't worth fighting about. He wasn't an Alpha. She shouldn't treat him like he was one.
-
Sahara jolted slightly as Dark appeared, "Hello." she said coolly, grinning as she watched Daharro scurry away. He was off entertaining himself again, and she was glad. With all of his prying questions and silent satisfaction, he seemed to know more than he let on, and it worried her, which was kind of scary, considering she was his mother, but it was true. Daharro was strange, and so was his strange obsession with stones. Everything about him was strange, but considering his parents, that wasn't all that strange.
Still, it was worrying. She wasn't one to dwell on unnecessary worries, but she would continue to dwell on this worry. You could never be too cautious with your pups, after all.
"Hey, honey." she swept her tail in greeting towards Riverdancer as the young female settled between Sahara and Dark.
-
Tekai shrugged, "I know you - you're not going to stop, whether or not I mind. But if it makes you feel better, I don't mind. I can't see you, no matter what form you're in, so it isn't that scary or anything. Plus, I feel safer with a nice, big, dangerous critter at my back - as long as you're on my side." he laughed to himself, flicking his ear and padding closer to Hanala.
"See? You changed without me noticing." the scents that drifted from her fur were different than the scents from five seconds ago, and her body had begun to change, becoming more slender. More . . . feline.
-
Windsinger snorted, "That's why we make a good pair." she replied, grinning widely, "Because you think you know everything, but I do know everything. So there." Windsinger laughed, flicking her tail lazily.
The topic moved onto more solemn topics. Windsinger didn't mind it much, as she was kind of worried about this, after all. Who wouldn't be? She was now next in line to being Alphess in a pack that was falling apart at the seams, answering the last question first. It was the one she wanted to answer the most, to be honest. "The pack would have a different Alpha, for one, and I probably wouldn't be here, either. I wouldn't have betrayed my brother..." Her voice trailed off for a moment or two before Windsinger went on, "It must be terrible to be a leader at a time like this. His sister's just died and his partner's already dead. He's lost everything he ever had..."
Windsinger shook her head, "Probably not. That was a long time ago. Seasons have passed, and even if he had been angry then, he wouldn't be angry now. It's been a long while since you rebelled against his arrival." She bobbed her head lazily as they drew closer to Moon.
"Hello, Moon." she greeted him in a cool voice. "It's good to see you again."

Hanala laughed. {I know} she said. She padded forward, flicking Tekai with her tail. She angled her ears. {I don't like it being so...quiet. Its erie} she said. She padded forward and looked around, waiting for Tekai. {What do you think it could be?} she asked, tail lashing. In her mind, she knew, somewhere, it was probably humans. And that thought wasn't good. Then she thought of hunters, and /thought/ she would rather have it be humans then hunters. Hunters purposly shot you with the desire to hang you on walls. If a human shot you, they may just leave you there, and you might get put somewhere you love to go. She thought all this in less then a few seconds.
