The thunderous sound echoed in Sunny's ears. A sound he knew all too well. His head flew into the air, looking for Callan. He fears were quickly confermed. She wasnt with Dark. He lept to his feet and took off running. His shoulder and back were grazed by the flying metal beads, but he didnt care. His pup was in his sight, and the human who had thrown her into the cage, his life was on the menu. He lungedat the man, his fangs growing as chaos began to engulf his body. his wings spread with anger as he covered the ground in one leap. His paws landed on the human's chest, and his fangs sank into the throat of him. Chaos burned at the humans flesh. Sunny was not going to loose his daughter that easily. ___________ Tipony pressed closer to Fornae. Why could she understand them?! ''Fornae, i can understand them...'' She yelped as she bared her own fangs, her reverse eyes were wild with surprise and fear. She snarled and backed closer to Fornae, not knowing what to do. ''Please, no...leave us be,'' She yelped with fear, hoping that they could understand her like she could them. _____________ Icepelt shot to her feet, and looked around as bullets danced at her paws. The scent of gunpowder raged in her nose. ''Sunny, Moon! Humans!'' She yelped. There was NO way she was going back with them again! Then, a new fear lept into her chest. Opal. She took off running, searching for him again. There was another bang close to her, and she felt pain in her side, just under her stomach. She fell in pain, and looked over at the wound that was now bleeding, but she was quickly back on her feet, running towards Opal with Ice raging around her. ___________ Pup runs by...clicking sound...BANG...Pain in shoulder...then Dark's heart stopped with fear. Humans...But no, that wasnt what made him freeze. ''SAHARA!'' He cried out. Darkness grew around him as his crimson eyes turned to the human. Instead of leaping forward, the darkness soon envloped the human, its dark vapors filling the lungs of the gun carrier. He leaned forward and pressed his face to Sahara's. She was already gone...He knew it. He turned and grabbed RiverDancer. He needed to protect the pups...BUT WHERE WAS DAHARRO!?! ________ Moon snarled. The spray of bullets whizzed around the windy sheild. A snarl with wild anger formed on his face. He threw back his head, and howled. Water spouted around his paws, along with some ice. His howl said many things, 'to war' it cried, 'Courage at heart' it screamed, 'its okay to be afraid' it whispered. He knew that their only choice was to fight. He knew that they couldnt run...there was no way. ____________ Mokai lept into the clearing at the sound of the cracking of guns. Three bullets found their marks in the back of his thighs. One bounced off the remains of the metal lab collar that was hidden under his pelt. He ran to Robin and stood over her, his dragonic wings spread, his reverse eyes glaring at the guns and smoke leaping from his nose. His body shook as his body resisted the urge to shift. ____________ Mojag snarled as his eyes landed on Opal and Icepelt. He recognized them from the lab. Oh yeah, he was going to take those two out himself. He remembered how they had slipped past him on his gaurd. That would not happen again....

Wim screeched and dove into the lake, holding the Tala Flower in his teeth. Small plants wound around his muzzle and allowed him to breathe. He shuddered. This must be the disaster tala was talking about! Humans! A bullet wizzed in and grazed his shoulder. He yelped as a small trickle of blood attrackted a fish. It swam over, and a bullet came down and hit it in its head. It floated to the surface as Wim sunk and swam deeper. He shivered at the temperature. He dug his claws into the seaweed at the bottom as another shiver racked his body. ~~~ Hanala suddenly felt a jolt of fear as she heard, ever so faintly, the loud pop of guns. {Tekai, we gotta run or fight and} she angled her ears and her hearing ranged out. {And, theres alot of them. I could get bigger if we need to fight that many if you want. But I reeaally don't like our chances} Then she heard Moons howl. {You heard it. We got to fight.} She said, her voice trailing off as she melted back to herself. "I'm going in bear Tekai. So, don't be scared if you hear a few huge stomps" she said feebly, laughing. She got bigger and her shoulders thickened and expanded. Her pelt got shaggyer and her ears smaller. Her paws got huge, and soon she was a grizzly. "HAAAARRROOOOOOOO" she roared, standing on her hind legs, clawing at the air before dropping down onto four paws. {Lets get this over with} she sighed. She didn't want something to happen to Tekai. She cared about him. Suddenly, a stray bullet wizzed towards Tekai. She knocked him out of the way but was hit in the shoulder by a whizzing bullet. "AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH" she howled. Blood gushed onto the ground and she rubbed her shoulder on a tree. {oooowwww} she whimpered. {Lets go get some humans outa here!} ~~~~~~ Snow went into the camp just as the humans fired. She spread her wings and flapped up. Her wings were hit by a bullet and she circled towards the ground. She fell onto the ground in a crumpled heap. "What are you doing?" a human cried out, pointing his gun at the other human and firing as the human dropped to the ground. He turned his tranq gun on Snow, but a long tendril of shadow striked him in the chest. He fell and a few humans pointed guns at her, and others pointed tranqs. "Sir, a smaller female has killed one of our men. Should we kill her or tranq her?" he asked his radio. "Catch her if at all possible." the radio hissed back. Snow flared her tattered wings and light circled her and smashed into the mens eyes, blinding them. She stood up, and lept onto the nearest human, biting its throat and flinging herself onto the next guys back. She slashed at his back and hit the next few guys with a long, deadly tendril of shadow and killed them all. She screeched as a tranqulizer wizzed by and a strong blast of light erupted from her wings, severly hurting and blinding the men. They fell, and she killed the rest, running into the forest and running under a tree, concealing herself with shadows. She whimpered silently and licked her tattered wings. Bullets wizzed into the tree and grazed her tail, and she bit her toung to keep from screeching.

There was a crackle of a walky-talky, and a nearby platoon of soldiers, fifty in all, were directed out towards Snow. "Be warned men, she is dangerous. We will attempt to tranquilize her first, but if that doesn't work, don't hesitate to shoot. Move," the man paused, "OUT!" at once, the men tromped off towards where the previous platoon had last been seen, surrounding Snow in an instant, men surrounding the clearing in a thick layer so that even if she managed to kill a man, there would be another and another to meet her.
The first layer of men lowered their guns, tranquilizers first, and pointed them towards Snow, and firing them without audible command. They did it as quickly and efficiently, giving Snow little warning.
The same men reloaded even as they waited for their tranquilizers to hit. The tranquilizers were very low dose, so they probably would not overload the young pup's system, which would kill her.
"Get ready." the leading man barked, lowering his gun this time. This one contained only bullets, and if she survived a second volley of tranqs, this would be her fate. He wouldn't shoot her anywhere fatal, just put her out of action to be studied later.
-
Tekai sighed, "Well, if we're going to go fight, we might as well go out with a bang." throwing his head back, he howled a reply to Moon, anger dancing through his voice. 'We come.'
And then he ran.
He hardly heard Hanala's words after him, but he could tell that she was moving forward, her feet slamming into the ground. She was a bear, he could tell, and Tekai nodded his head, "Good--" he gave a startled snarl as she threw him sideways, even as she roared. There was the sound of guns all around him and he staggered to his paws as Hanala spoke again.
"Lets." he growled, a snarl building in his chest as he lunged forward.

Snow snarled and fought the sudden wooziness as the humans attacked. A long peircing shadow came up and hit some of the humans before she stubled and knocked against the tree. She hissed and shot out a high light volley. It was blinding light. She bolted, staggering against the wooziness. She stumbled and shadows bursted from her wings, circling a few of the humans as she fell. her eyes were heavy as she blinked. "must. Stay. Awake." she said sleepily. Another volley of light shot at them, with shadows swirled in. One hit a man square in the chest. ~~~ Hanala growled and lumbered forward. {Sorry about that. But I figured you didn't want to be shot} she said. She snarled and ran forward, knocking a human on the head and slapping it aside. {There in our home. Don't let them live} she growled. She slapped aside a few more humans and growled loudly. "ARRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAWWWWWRRRRRRR" she snarled and sat on her rump as bullets wizzed by.

Humans fell left, right, and center, but it was a measure of their training how the others merely stepped over the bodies of their fallen comrades and clomped forward, closing the circle around snow.
"Ready? Aim. FIRE!" the leader bellowed in a convincing imitation of an army sergeant. The remaining men cocked their guns and fired another round of tranquilizer guns, even as more of their number fell, and they still closed.
-
Tekai smiled, "It's fine." there was an unexpected gentleness to his voice as he jumped aside from another bullet, one that grazed his shoulder and sent blood spattering across the ground. His stride didn't jolt, despite the pain that waved through him, for a few steps, until he stopped, swaying slightly on his feet, though a murderous smile still graced his face.

Snow got sleepier and sleepier, but still blasted the humans with volleys of shadow and light. She stumbled and leaped onto one mans chest, biting his throat and biting another guys head. She growled and made him bonk heads with another as the collapsed to the ground. Suddenly large shadows engulfed her, then pushed out, knocking everyone away from her and sending the sprawling, hurt or dead, on the ground. "Stay away" she whimpered. ~~~ Hanala lumbered back and nudged Tekai. {Are you okay?} she asked him, concerned. She lept on a human and crushed him as he was about to shoot and snarled, batting a few away with her paw. She stood on her back feet and reared up, bringing her massive paws down on the heads on a large group of humans, killing them instantly. She trotted back to Tekai and nudged him again. She stared at his shoulder. {I hope that isn't to deep} she snarled, and roared, making a few cowardly humans flee. A bullet wizzed by and hit her in her chest as she reared up. She fell and her face smashed into the ground. "Harooo" she groaned. {Oww} she said faintly. She tried to get back to wolf, because then the bullet would fall harmlessly to the ground. But everything was getting darker. {T-t-te-e-} she said weakly. She fell farther into the blackness and groaned as the pain shot through her chest and into the rest of her limbs and head. "arr-r-r-roo" the bear groaned, and she struggled to demorph, but she couldn't do it...

Blackfang snarled instinctively as he heard the guns fired, throwing himself to the ground. A moment later, he realized he hadn't needed to; Windsinger was using some type of shield. She had quite possibly just saved his life. "Thanks," he gasped, still surprised by what was going on. Windsinger didn't seem like she could keep that shield up for long; he had to find something he could do to help, and fast.
He rapidly took in everything he could see, assessing the situation. There were humans on all sides of the camp, all firing. Several wolves were already lying in pools of blood, though Blackfang didn't stop to try and tell who they were. The living had priority now. They'd have to fight. But the humans had a huge advantage with their guns, and there was no cover outside of the forest... right where the humans were. Not very helpful...
He growled, thinking. If the wind could block the humans' shots, they needed more wind... but not from Windsinger. Suddenly, an idea began to form in his mind. Quickly, he summoned clouds above them and watched as rain began to pour, making sure that it didn't hamper the abilities of any other wolves. "Windsinger! We have to make a storm!"
Neither of them could control storms, but Blackfang was fairly sure they could cause one. The high winds and rain would make the humans' guns extremely inaccurate; enough to give the rest of the pack a fighting chance. And it wouldn't take energy to maintain, once it got going. Of course, it would also stop any of the wolves from flying, but they didn't have much of a choice right now...
---
Denali shook his head. "I'll deal with them myself. Hado, go after that younger wolf who's causing so much trouble to those humans. And if you have too much trouble capturing her, just kill her." She wasn't that important, after all.
He turned to Mojag. "Go for that shapeshifter and the other wolf with her. If you can capture the shapeshifter alive, do it - she'll be useful. But she's also a considerable threat; kill her if she endangers our attack."
He turned back to the camp and glanced at the carnage. Only a few wolves had fallen in the first volley, but more bullets were pouring out there, and it was only a matter of time. To reach the trees and attack the humans, the wolves had to cross a wide stretch of open ground... making them perfect targets. And they had no cover where they were. No matter what they did, they'd be shot...
He glanced up as the two helicopters took up position over the camp, pouring down additional fire from above. Several humans were tossing grenades down, as well, and Denali smiled evilly as he imagined the pain the wolves in the camp must be in. The ones who died in the first volley were lucky compared to what would happen to the rest.
Denali turned and ran towards the two wolves he had said he would deal with. The humans had already encircled them. He chuckled as he walked through the circle of humans. "How sweet - two lovers pressed together." His eyes hardened. "Now you'll die together!"
He launched several shadowy tendrils at them before leaping at the female wolf and clawing at her side. The humans didn't shoot, but more came into position, forming a thick ring. One of them laughed cruelly. "The she-wolf thinks she can control us; how pathetic..."

The sound of guns going off woke Robin from the light nap she had just begun to enjoy. What? Wide eyes took in the carnage. Wolves were scattering, some of them had fallen wounded or dying. And through it all came Mokai. Robin hadn't realized how much she had wanted to see him again, and now he was certainly a welcome sight. He moved to stand over her, protecting her from the hail of bullets that was now also coming from the sky. "Mokai." She said, trying to get his attention. "Mokai, we have to get out of here." Robin could only hope he heard her through all the noise and chaos.

Mokai snarled, almost as if he couldnt speak. His eyes were focused on the humans infront of him. ''Robin...run,'' He said through clentched teeth and shaking body. There was no stopping his instinct, and all he wanted was to makesure he wouldnt hurt any of his own kind in his dragonic rage. His body began to bend and stretch, his fur on his back and sides grew in length and thin soft scales formed on his underbelly. Spines sprouted from his backbone, and two horns erupted from his skull. His talons grew, as did his wings slightly. His body grew longer and more serpentine and soon, a wolfsized black wolf with red facial and leg markings and reverse eyes stoof there. Fire danced from his open maw.

Fornae flinched at Tipony's words, drawing back a step away from her, even as the humans pressed forward, and Denali approached. "Y-you can understand them?" his words were lost in the chaos of the battle, but they were obvious in the hardening of his eyes. Any wolf who could understand humans was an abomination, even if Fornae loved her.
He whirled around as Denali spoke, noticing the approach of the black wolf for the first time, and he also realized that the humans were pressing in from all sides. Fornae flattened himself against the ground as Denali leapt past him, and then he jumped forward, headed for a human.
Any human.
He wasn't feeling picky.
But he didn't even get that - the human swung the barrel of his gun to connect with Fornae's body in a sickening crack, sending the young male flying back in the opposite direction. He hit the ground and pulled himself to his feet laboriously, shaking himself and preparing for another rush. Sooner or later, he'd actually do some damage, and maybe he could get out.
-
Most of them were thrown aside, but a few of them remained on their feet, and luckily for them, more men were advancing forward, stepping over fallen comrades to attack Snow once more.
This time, they weren't taking any chances. The lead human lowered his gun, firing a single warning shot between Snow's paws, and then he barked a command. This time, they fired a continuous volley of warning shots that slowly moved forward, heading towards Snow's body.
If the tranqs kicked in, they'd stop firing. If they didn't?
Well, let's just say that Snow would have a very short life expectancy after that.
-
Ice's voice resounded in his head, and he latched on to it, using those words to pull himself upwards from the dark tide of pain that longed to claim him. Struggling upwards, settling his paws beneath him, even as more pain started to shoot through his shoulder, he snarled at the approaching Mojag, and, by extension, Icepelt, but his pain filled eyes were focused on the approaching male, his anger giving him strength.
Besides, the dark tide inside him had begun to dull the pain. That probably wasn't a good sign, but he was beyond caring. There was only him and Mojag left in the world, even Icepelt was forgotten.
Something dull and far away reminded him that he had to live, but he shoved that part of him away. It was better to just fight. To live in the moment.
-
One human down, at least twenty more to go.
The men who'd been standing at that area advanced forward at the pain filled cries of their comrade, guns cocked in Sunny's direction.
"Go on, try it." one of them growled, and there was a resounding click from his gun, "That little pup over there is valuable. You, however, are not. Which means that you get to die." Not that the wolf could understand him, but he was mainly talking to his men, as he squeezed the trigger.
The resulting bullet sped straight for Sunny as the other men got ready to fire, just in case the wolf dodged the first bullet.
And behind them, more humans advanced, coming to the aid of the first group.
-
Windsinger nodded her head, her breath coming in quick pants. She wasn't quite beyond speaking, but she was going to keep this shield up for as long as possible. Her legs trembled beneath her body, but Windsinger shoved away this weakness, swinging her head to glare at Moon for a second or two. What was he thinking?
Blackfang's words brought a sharp nod from Windsinger. "I can do that, but we'll be unguarded. I can't get the winds up in the area and still have this whirling." even as she spoke, the winds around them slowed, and Windsinger's breath left her body in a shuddering gasp.
The rain that had been driven away by the shield began to patter all around them, and Windsinger focused, working carefully on changing the air pressure to strengthen the storm, and to make the wind blow faster.
The wind gave a moan above her head, obeying her command and swirling through the clearing in a fierce gust.
The storm was beginning...
-
((This'll start around when Denali attacked, and end in real time. Sorry for the delay.))
Shadow wandered through the forest aimlessly, his paws carrying him along a less beaten path as he tilted his head upwards to examine the sky, his breath coming out in a huff as the black male slowly padded onwards, his wings folded carefully against his side.
He froze at the sound of distant thunder, scenting the air. The air was filled with the scent of humans and of their abominable machines. Shadow frowned, pricking his ears forward in time to hear another crash of thunder, and another, and another.
Wait.
That wasn't thunder.
That was the sound of gunshots.
Shadow whirled around, lunging back in the direction of the camp, fangs bared in a self righteous fury, and wings spread wide. He exploded through the trees, and was presented with chaos.
Not a day ago, this had been his home.
Now it was littered with the bodies of dead wolves, Sahara, for one, and he was sure there were others, and stained with blood.
Shadow snarled to himself, fury evident in his stiff body as he launched himself forward, claws digging into the bloodsoaked earth, but he brought himself up short upon finding himself surrounded by humans.
His nose, no longer as sharp as it once was, still detected the acrid scent of gunpowder. He recoiled backwards, only to find his way blocked by more humans.
The humans had spotted his arrival, and had marked him as trouble. Now there were far too many humans all around him to even begin fighting.
Shadow snarled anyways, leaping forward at the first human who'd presented himself to Shadow, but even as he jumped, he was struck aside by the barrel of a gun - "Denali wants this one alive." one of the humans growled, stomping over to place a foot on Shadow's chest so that the black male stopped fighting.
Indignantly, Shadow lay, all too aware of the fact that he'd just been bested by nothing but a human.
-
Tekai froze, swinging his head to gaze steadily at Hanala as she growled, her stuttering voice reaching him softly. Well, what did she expect him to do? He wasn't a healer. And it wasn't like he could go fishing around with his claws and pull the bullet out. He snarled to himself and launched his body over her body, swinging his claws into the flesh of a human, trying not to snarl in pain as he landed harshly on his injured shoulder, before turning and heading back towards Hanala. The humans weren't going to come back without reinforcements, he was sure.
"What can I do, then?"

Snow squealed. Her eyes rolled in her head as the tranqs took over her and the last dwindlings of shadows fell limp and dormant to the ground, dissapearing. Her eyes drifted shut and her wings drooped tired and low at her sides. Her tail stopped lashing and soon she was toatlly still.

((ok lets try this......No muse and tired but il try))
Tipony noticed Fornaes lunging. Maybe that was the only hope... to fight back. She bared her fangs still begging to the humans to stop but she was preparing herself to attack. Yes, she had to. it was the only choice. She knew it, but she couldnt brign herself to beleive it. Then she felt pain in her side and saw Denali. She snarled and let out a few yelps of pain, trying to lunge away from the shadows. Her eyes were focused on him. In the background, she could see her father, taking her little sister to safety. She shot a look at Fornae. Thoughts of both battle and fear racing through her head. Yes, it was time to fight. ____ Icepelt lept to Opals side, her head low, her orange eyes blazing as ice grew, chipped and shattered around her feet, ready to be shot at anyhuman, at anyone really. Rage and fear shook her chest like a mighty earthquake... ___________ Sunny didnt move fast enought, but the bullett failed to hit anything important. He fell to the ground, his shoulder bleeding profusely. He lay there, his breathing slightly shallow. Then another snarl rang in his ears. When he looked up, a white blurr attacked one of the humans. He didnt know who the female was, but she looked oddly familiar as if from a dream. He stood slowly, his shoulder hurting terribly, making it hard to stand on two legs. He stood, chaos still blazing over his body and his fangs still long. He looked at the female. A name suddenly rushed into his head. He remebered her from his birth, when he almost died, LarkaStar. __________ Moon waqtched the betas. ''Try,'' He snarled as he got infront of them and water began to rage aroound them. He was prepared to do anything to defend his sisters pack, his pack,.

When Mokai snarled, Robin thought for a moment that he might be angry with her for some reason. His next words stilled that fear and she had just crept out from under him to make a break for the trees when his body began to change. It was the most frightening thing she had ever seen. His body twisted, his fur vanished, and flames spilled from his maw. Mokai had turned into a dragon! Shaking in fear, Robin fled to the relative safety of the trees. Bullets flew past her, a few drawing blood as they grazed her. One buried itself in her thigh before she reached the tree line and vanished. She was never more glad for her ability than she was at that moment as she paused for moment, torn between her desire to flee and her concern for Mokai. What would happen to him if he stayed? Was there anything she could do about it anyway? In her indecision, another bullet found its mark, striking her rear paw and drawing a yelp of pain from her. A human nearby brought his gun around at the sound, but she remained perfectly still and gritted her teeth against the pain. He lost interest, and she began to make her way carefully free of the carnage. All her senses were on high alert as she watched the shifting of the shadows, using all of her skill to pass unseen.

Blackfang nodded. They didn't have much of a choice. "Once the storm starts blowing full force, the shield will be unnecessary - the humans won't be able to shoot accurately in the storm." He gave her a worried glance. Take care of yourself, Windsinger... But this wasn't something he could help her with. He'd finished his part, and already she had begun summoning the storm. He just had to hope they didn't get hit...
He summoned multiple illusions of himself to give the humans more targets, then turned and tore the throat out of one who ventured too close. "Hurry, Windsinger!"
He jumped as an explosion of fire appeared near him. The humans were launching something from those metal birds - something explosive. They'd have to be careful...
---
Denali snarled and lunged again, clamping his jaws onto Tipony's right shoulder and tearing deeply. Shadows curled about him and slashed at her wings. His eyes briefly met Fornae's, a taunting gleam in them. I'm toying with the two of you, and we both know it...
Then one of the nearby humans activated a flamethrower and shot burning fire all over Fornae. Denali turned his attention back to Tipony, sinking his fangs in deeper...
Around him, he could hear explosions as the helicopters above rained missiles down onto the camp. Several of them caused huge fireballs, and a few trees began to burn. But most threw shrapnel in all directions, lacerating most of the wolves still standing and mauling the corpses of those already dead. More gunfire poured from the woods, though Denali dimly realized that the sudden change in the weather had reduced his troops' accuracy dramatically.
It didn't affect all their weapons, though, and every 10th human was equipped with an extra weaponry. Heat-seaking rockets and flamethrowers were beginning to be unleashed on the remaining wolves, and grenades flew constantly. The weather and smoke from explosions made it hard to see the entire battlefield...

Hanala's voice became faint. {I....cant....demorph} she choked, her eyesight getting fuzzy. A bullet wizzed by and hit her square in the chest. She gasped and shrunk, and got slightly more wolf, then blacked out. She kinda flickered, her body can't deciding on what form to take. Soon she had wolf paws and head, bear body, and brown, shaggy bear legs. A brown, long, shaggy tail grew from her tail bone. Searing pain shot through her, and she tried to demporph so the bullets would leave. But her chest felt tight as her heartbeat slowed to a slow katunk-phhh-katunk---ph-katunk-----ph---------katun---------------pppphhhhh. suddenly she demorphed quickly and she became herself. She was still blacked out but the bullets fell harmlessly to the ground. She had a slightly bloody leg, but besides that she was slightly fine. She awoke and shook her head. She snarled and she began to instantly shrink. Her body lost legs and she turned slender. Two long, poisin holding fangs erupted from her gums at most of her other teeth dissapeared. Soon as she was fully snake she hissed to Tekai, {I am better smaller. They can't hit me as well} and she raced forward, emptying her fangs into a mans leg and feeling the poisin come back latched onto another ones arm as he put his finger on the trigger to shoot Tekai. He dropped the gun and as the posin took affect, fell.
