Firepaw watched Sesh pad away with a million different conflicting emotions burning in his chest. He wanted to follow her, he really did, but he couldn't. Something stayed him from charging after her and telling her that he was sorry that he hadn't told her, that he hadn't trusted her, but he held himself back until long after she'd disappeared into the gloom, racing back to save the pack that had once been theirs.
Why?
Why him?
Why Sesh?
But there were no answers to such questions, and now he would have to do something. He had to stop her, he had to explain to her.
Firepaw wanted to run after her with all of his heart in that moment, but he couldn't. It would not only destroy his pride, she'd also already proved that she didn't care about him. Firepaw sighed, exhaling heavily as the first few fat drops of rain fell, the clouds darkening and rain falling faster and heavier.
It had a strange perfume, like cold, wet, fur and a summer breeze all in one. His tail swished from side to side in a sudden burst of pure giddiness, but after a second, he clamped down on it. He couldn't be happy at a time like this, when Sesh had abandoned him and was about to ruin everything he'd ever fought for with the pack and with his family.
Firepaw sighed, rising to his paws, padding after Sesh for a few steps, before sidling back to the east, along the lake shore for a few steps until the dirt beneath him subsided into sand. He could hear the sounds of human voices on the far side of the lake, but, as of yet, they weren't his troubles. He'd kill them once they got closer, before they had time to sound the alarm, and that would be that, but he didn't want to seek out a battle.
Something inside him feared that he had become the monster that Sesh had described to him.
A wave lapped softly against his paw, and Firepaw shied away, glowering at his now wetter than ever fur as the rain fell all around him.

As the twins padded to the lake the rain fell down, making the view harder to see. The white colored fur that they both shared was watered down. With every step, Casanova felt like the ground was turning to mud and making it hard to walk. The remembrance of flying made her want to take a look from above. She breathed out and glanced up to Lantern whom was enjoying it greatly. Lantern seemed to love getting wet, she wondered why but then again she knew it was obvious since he controlled storms that of coarse he loved water. “Do you want me to go ahead?” she asked, seeing he was having fun with the rain. ‘What a pup’ she thought to herself.
For a moment Lantern forgot about his shorter sister, the falling water had his attention so for now he just nodded a yes and shook his fur before he stopped for a moment to look at her, who was now gone. Wandering closer to the lake, leavening him in his raining wonderland.

Firepaw exhaled as the wind fell a little harder, obscuring any scent he might have spotted of any approaching wolves. The wind blew fiercely in the opposite direction of anyone he might have scented, and besides, the day was waning, and his mind was distracted. He wasn't looking for any scents, not looking for the approach of anyone.
The sound of pawsteps against sand made him jump, and he swung his head to look towards the direction the sound had come from, "Who-who's there?" He bit back the name that jumped hopefully to his tongue as he squinted into the murky, stormy air, trying to make out any shape that could have passed as a wolf.
A second or two passed, and he reluctantly turned away, perhaps too quickly, and settled his haunches onto the damp ground, knowing full well that he would regret it later. Sand clung to his fur like there was no tomorrow, and he hated it, but he didn't really care. Right now, there were more important things to worry about.
Things like Sesh? What if she did tell everyone, and he was driven away because of it? Sharra would be furious with him, he knew, and he didn't want that. She was, at that point, the only wolf other than Icepelt and Breeze who cared about him in the slightest.
Oh, he could remember the days when it had been him and Sesh and no one else. The things that could have happened, the worlds they could have had...
They were all off limits now.
He was such a fool...
"Why?" he muttered to himself, "Why? What did I do to deserve this?"

Casanova stopped under the trees, feeling just out of sight from anyone, if there WAS anyone. After a moment, he could hear someone ask if someone was here but she couldn’t quite hear it. She wasn’t even sure if it was the wind or not so she kept quiet. She stood there wondering if anyone was there, she thought of going back to get lantern whom would have walked out with no fear. She wondered what he would be thinking right now. ‘he would be thinking there is noting to fear right?’ she thought stepping out just in time to see a male turn away.
‘It’s a male?’ she thought holding her paws back from walking over and greeting him nicely as she would always do.
“deserve what?” she asked him, her high pitch voice ringed out almost sounding like chimes blowing in the summer. “it couldn’t have been that bad if your looking back on it now right?” she asked more quietly.

His voice trailed off into silence, leaving the world eerily quiet, almost quiet enough that he could hear breathing over the rain. No, he had to be imagining it. Who in their right mind would be out here at this hour instead of fighting for the pack?
Yeah, Firepaw was most likely alone out here, not that he minded. Being alone wasn't as bad as some wolves said it was. It meant that the air around him was quiet, and that he could think in peace without wolves making judgments about him based on things they didn't understand. Sheesh. It made him want to ditch the pack like Sunny had sometimes, but he would never. He was better than Sunny for exactly that reason, so no, he wouldn't ever leave the pack that he loved, even when the pack stopped loving him.
Still, dwelling in self-pity wasn't something Firepaw intended to indulge in for a large amount of time. In general, it was a bad idea, let alone right then, when anyone could be listening and anyone could be ready to kill him.
What he needed to do was figure out how to persuade Sesh not to tell the pack. The only thing he could think of was to kill her, but how would that work? In theory, he could kill her, but would he? He wasn't sure he could, which meant he needed another idea...
His train of thought was broken by a soft, clear, obviously feminine voice. Firepaw jolted, claws sinking into the sand, preparing himself to spring in the direction the voice had come in, before just as quickly relaxing. If she were going to kill him, she would have done so already, so she obviously wasn't much of a threat.
"A lot of things," he answered the first part of her question guardedly, musing over his next words for a second or two before continuing, "Well, it's not over yet, so I don't know how bad at is. But at least it doesn't look like it can get much worse." he peered in the direction the voice had come from, struggling to make out any forms in the murky lighting.
His fur was now soggy and wet, with sand clinging to it, but Firepaw hardly noticed it, but he did jump slightly at a sound that reminded him of distant thunder. There was a flash of light in the direction of the camp, not lightning, but fire, and Firepaw nodded quietly to himself. He should be out there, fighting for his pack, but figuring out what to do about Sesh took first precedence.

After she had said something, she felt like she would surely be dead. As if any wolf in this kind of storm could find any food, why wouldn’t they like some meat? she shook the thought away after the males deeper voice answered, seeming like he didn’t even move an inch.
She thought over what he had said. ‘a lot of things’? she knew it wasn’t her problem but she felt like he needed some kind of help. “if it’s a lot of things, then should you talk them out?” she felt like a puppy saying something like talking something out so she quickly added something onto it, “I cant think of anyone who would want to hate or argue with you” She had nothing to say about what he had said next, noting could really be done about something that wasn’t over. She looked at him, wondering what happened, but to cowardly to ask.
((brain fart))

Firepaw smiled slightly. It was nice to hear that someone cared, even if he didn't know this female, "I really did try to talk about it. I know I didn't do it very well, but I tried." Yes, he had. It was strange to be spilling his secrets to a wolf he didn't even know, but at this point, he was really beyond caring.
Whoever it was obviously didn't intend to kill him or injure him or anything of the like, or they would have done it while he was off-guard instead of talking to him as she had, which was less effective, because now he was ready to fight, if anyone should try anything.
I cant think of anyone who would want to hate or argue with you.
Those words startled him; it was very strange to hear a stranger speak to him like that, especially one who did not know him at all. For all this female knew, he could be a mass-murderer who was about to kill her, but did that matter? "Thank you." Firepaw smiled tightly, his ears pricking forward as he shifted his weight uncomfortably.
He was curious now, curious about who would speak to him in such a way if they did not know him. "Might I perhaps meet the face behind such a beautiful voice?" he smiled again, swishing his tail from side to side.
Firepaw did his best to look nonthreatening in the moments that followed his comment, his ears pricked quietly forward.

Casanova smiled, “you tied so, you cant blame anything on your self, right?” she started thinking of her brother, and there old pack. She still thought of how much she tried to talk to her brother about it but nothing truthful ever passed his maw. She pulled her attention back to the subject at hand, She then glanced back at him.
She heard him say two words that made her feel a little happier for him, “you welcome” She replied quietly, starting to wonder if she was done here and she was suppose to go back to her brother whom surely would be lost.
‘beautiful voice?’ She thought. After a moment she realized that this was the longest conversation between anyone other than family members. It made her feel nice to talk like this to someone, even if she didn’t know them. She walked out and sat about a yard from him, she wasn’t about to get close to anyone she didn’t know. Even if she had been speaking with him for over twenty minutes.

Firepaw smiled softly, "Yeah, but that's easier said than done. I still feel like I've failed them." he glanced up at the sky, smiling to himself. Whoever this female was, Firepaw liked her. She wasn't making decisions or judgments before she knew the facts, unlike Sesh, and she wasn't being antagonistic. He already liked her.
He grinned, "It was nice of you to talk with me, you know?" he pricked his ears forward, "I have enjoyed it, as well." his plumy tail swished from side to side as she spoke. See, this was what a friend of his should be like. Sesh had been like that once; not making judgments, being kind and not going out of her way to hurt anyone. She wasn't being cruel and she wasn't trying to hurt. This was what he wanted in a wolf.
Yes, he liked her already.
Firepaw glanced up as she approached, taking in her small, white body and even smaller wings. She looked almost like a pup, something he instinctively wanted to protect. Was that what it was like to be an Alpha? Protecting the pack, protecting all of its members...
"I'm Firepaw. You?" he swished his tail again in greeting, pricking his ear forward.

When he said the word ‘them’ she knew he must have been talking about a group of wolves, a pack even. Her smiled fainted slightly but her eyes still kept a sense of warmness. “I ‘m sure that you didn’t do anything that bad, I mean there still your friends. They would understand anything.” her voice replied warmly, almost as it she was showing him a fact and not just a statement that her mouth spoke.
Her smile returned “Talking is only good when you’re speaking to someone you can relate to” she breathed out smoothly, her small white tail curling up next to her to warm her paws.
“I’m Casanova” she said quietly. “I know it’s a wired name but its something I got to live with ya know?” she said trying to make a joke out of it. Knowing it probably wasn’t that funny she added onto her words. “its really is nice speaking with someone”

Firepaw raised an eyebrow at her words, bu he couldn't resist a small smile, "They aren't my friends. Not anymore, at least. I thought they were, but they're not." he shrugged unhappily. It was true, wasn't it? He'd thought that Sesh was his friend, and it was kind of obvious that she wasn't, but perhaps this female understood, though she didn't know him, she was kind enough. She acted like she cared, even if she didn't know him at all.
He grinned, "You can relate to me?" there was a hint of wonderment to his tone; he could hardly understand how a female such as herself, so small and delicate, could understand what he was going through. But perhaps he had misjudged her, and perhaps he had.
"Casanova? I think it's quite pretty, personally." Better than Seshana, anyways, he thought bitterly, smiling as he went on, "It's been nice talking to you, as well." he paused for a moment before going on, "I haven't seen you around here before. What brings you to the Frost Pack territory?"

She frowned, she still didn’t know what exactly he did wrong but it wasn’t her place to ask. It would have been easier to understand what he was speaking of but it was hard to ask someone so nice about something that made him sad.
“yeah, I can” she sighed. “though I don’t have parents, I feel like its my fault that humans took them away. My brother doesn’t even speak of them. I barely remember what they look like” she didn’t even notice that she was now staring at her paws so she pushed all the sadness from her tone away and smiled once more, feeling like this was her time to go and see her brother.
She smiled, “really? I think your’s is much better” she said truthfully before standing, “My brother was thinking of finding this pack. a lot of wolves said its nice here. But I think I should probably find my brother before he gets lost” she said lastly before hearing her brother bark loudly from a few yards away, under the trees.

The silence was growing awkward, Firepaw realized when she didn't reply, but he wasn't sure what she was looking for him to say, or indeed, if she wanted him to say anything at all. "I got in a fight with my friend because of something that I didn't see fit to tell the pack about, and she insists that it was wrong of me to do so..." he muttered at last, trying to keep as many details to himself as possible.
"Oh... That sounds . . . terrible. Worse than what I'm going through. It makes me feel selfish." he frowned, thinking back to the last time he'd seen his mother and father; they'd fought. It made him feel guilty about fighting with his father, the fact that he now had to think about possibly losing his family.
"Naw, yours is certainly much better." Firepaw grinned, "This pack, though? The only pack I know of with a lot of wolves in the area is my pack, the Frost Pack. Is that, by any chance, the one you were looking for?" He paused, wrinkling his nose, "Well... Would you look any help looking?" he felt a little strange asking a stranger something like this, but he had enjoyed Casanova's company, hadn't he?
That was strange; enjoying the company of a stranger was, well, strange. He had never really felt this way about anyone, and he only felt this way about her because she at least pretended to understand, and to care. Unlike Seshana, anyways.

(writers block)
She lessened quietly and looked at him. “that’s not that bad, all you did was not tell them something. If you didn’t tell them, then it must not have been that important, that or it was to keep them safe” she kindly replied thinking the male couldn’t do anything bad.
“oh, its okay. I gotten over it a while ago. Its not like we knew anyone was coming” she stated awkwardly. This kind of subjects bothered her the most.
She stopped to think of what her brother had been calling the pack, “yeah, that’s the name” she said almost about to laugh, she thought that it was called the snow pack for a moment. “and if you feel like helping then sure, I’d probably get lost, it’s a miracle that I even found this lake”

Firepaw smiled very slightly at her words, bad mood slowly starting to fade. "It had selfish reasons behind it, but it was also to protect them. That might not have been the main reason, but if they had found about it, it would have hurt them, and that wouldn't do, would it?" he shrugged, his shoulders moving up and down in a rapid movement, his eyes gleaming cheerfully. He liked her conversations, even if he'd just met her.
"Mm...." Firepaw nodded, "Still, I'm sorry for your loss." the words felt oddly formal coming from his mouth, but he smiled anyways, his ears pricking in her direction cheerfully.
Firepaw nodded again, "I would love to help, and I can also guide you to the Frost Pack if you'd wish. The spring lands can take more wolves now, so Moon will not have a good reason to deny two more hunters. Sure there will be more mouths to feed, but with the pups, we'll need some more hunters." he rose to his paws, "Shall we leave, then?"
