This will be a roleplay based on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and it would be preferred if you'd at least seen the movie, if not read the book, so that you have a basic understanding of the characters. I will be playing the Cheshire Cat, and perhaps the Doormouse, though the rest (The Queen and King of Hearts, Alice, the Mock Turtle, the Griffin, the Mad Hatter, etc) are open for playing. You can pick a minor character, or a more major character, I don't care either way.

Setting/Plot: "Welcome to Wonderland, population 895" That's what the sign in front of the town Wonderland, Ohio, says, as the car drives under it. Alice's father got a job in this hole in the wall town out in the middle of Ohio - it doesn't even have a Walmart! - and the entire family has packed up and moved from the city of New York to this tiny town, and young Alice isn't very happy about it. Of course, she'll be significantly less happy when she realizes just how odd each person who lives here is, and that she and her family are perhaps the only normal people who live there. The firm her father has gotten a job at is called Wonder Napkins, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, and other paper products and Alice's father is the new director. His president is a man affectionately known as 'The King of Hearts' and his wife is 'The Queen of Hearts' and the two have thrown a party in the honor of the arriving family. The roleplay will take place a few minutes after Alice's family's arrival.

Two children dashed about, laughing cheerfully. The two were twins, and looked quite similar, nearly exactly alike. They were affectionately known as Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and they certainly acted the part. Jason (Tweedledee) was the shorter one, and he was certainly the more pudgy of the two, but not by much. He had brown hair that was maybe an inch long, and he certainly wasn’t very hairy. His hair sprouted from the center of his head, and stopped an inch away, it wasn’t long like a typical boy’s was. He was the smarter of the two when he felt like it, though he didn’t often feel like thinking, he much preferred to just run around spouting nonsense about oysters and walruses that made no sense to anyone but him or his brother. James (Tweedledum) was very slightly taller than his brother, and only a little less round. His hair was around the same length of the same coloration, and he had the same eyecolor as Jason (brown). They were a nightmare to tell apart, and they both enjoyed tormenting their mother about which one was which. James had a more mischevious personality than his brother, Jason, who was more laid back, but only very slightly so. James loved to run around spouting nonsense about the golden crocodile improving his shining tail, which is pretty much the only way anyone could tell the two apart. ”How doth the golden crocodile improve his shining tail?” James crooned from his perch beneath the table, as he poked his brother. ”And then oysters came skipping up the beach!” Jason replied cheerfully, and the two erupted and quite a speed from under the table, racing towards the door. It was on!

He was a mysterious man with a large smile, who quite loved cats, and tended to be quite the loner himself. He was good at disappearing and reappearing with no warning at all, though his smile would stay behind in a most unnerving manner. Chester was well known for his odd smile and for his sudden appearances, and people tended to avoid him unless they needed help, and then they would seek him out, they’d often find him curled on a branch, avoiding falling off by balancing his weight deftly on something that looked like it would barely support a cat, let alone a human being. Currently, the chestnut brown haired man leaned lazily against a wall, a cigarette dangling lazily from his lip, and he watched the antics of Tweedledum and Tweedledee with no expression on his face, except for that always apparent smile. That smile shrunk a few molars, however, as they dashed by him while they were en route to the door, and he narrowed his eyes, before moving towards the snacks, and he popped a cheese cube into his mouth, chewing it delicately, before scampering back towards his previous spot with a quiet speed that put him back at the wall almost before he’d left the table with the food on. He appreciated the ‘King’s’ effort to make the newcomers welcome, but honestly, he wished that the man hadn’t felt a sudden urge to invite the mother of Tweedledum and Tweedledee along. The two children and their nonsense was quite annoying… Chester narrowed his dark brown eyes at the thought, and he slouched a little bit further against the wall, twirling the cigarette with his tongue as he waited.

This was the man who’d orchestrated this party, the impassive figure that ruled the town of Wonderland, Ohio. His proud green eyes swept across the crowded room, full of the odd people who populated this town, even his dear, controlling wife. The small man gave her a loving smile before returning to watching his ‘kingdom’ This was his land, the land he controlled, according to all front, even if it was his wife who technically ran it, who did everything this town needed, and scared the members of Wonderland, Ohio into submission. Jeremiah was nothing but a figurehead, though he didn’t mind, really. He was the kinder ruler, and he was the one who’d taken it upon himself to invite his dear friend, Mariah, the mother of Tweedledee and Tweedledum. She was a kind enough woman, even if his wife didn’t like her. Then again, his lovely Queen of Hearts didn’t like anyone, and would probably fly off the handle when she noticed Mariah. Jeremiah would have to calm her down again… The young man ran a hand through his nut brown hair, sighing slightly. This life was catching up to him, which was why he’d hired the man who would soon be working with him, though he hadn’t counted on the man bringing a family with him. There wasn’t really room for a family in the house he’d alloted for the man – or rather, the house his wife had allotted for the man, claiming that the house Jeremiah had picked was already inhabited – but the house would have to do. Jeremiah wasn’t going to go against his wife about something as small as that. It didn’t matter all that much.

Iona stepped out of the car with less excitement as he brothers. Not only did her excitment level make her different from the others, her looks made her standout, even here. Her hair was blacker than a moonless night and hung down to her hips as she stood there, staring at the table with ruby eyes that were filled with hatered. The 17 yearold girl was adopted, more like rescued, by her father, from a science lab when she was but ten years old. Her human ears were removed and replaced with two canine-wolf ears at the top of her head, a black wolf tail on her butt, and two crimson canine eyes. Even her heart was different. She was an experiment, and comeing to this low town only made her feel like an experiment again. ''Iona, what are you gonna do?'' she asked herself coldly as she crossed her arms to watch the people.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum were the first to notice Iona's arrival. She was different from the rest! Dum skipped forward to examine Iona, "The golden crocodile!" he cried, as his brother capered towards him, and Dee threw himself forward, wrapping his arms around Iona. "The walrus!" he screeched, and then Dum erupted forward to grab Iona's other leg, the one that Dee wasn't clinging to. "No! The golden crocodile!" he wailed back, and soon the two were both screaming at the top of their lungs.
Chester sighed as he watched the two children cling and wail to Iona. He cringed, and walked forward, letting the unlit cigarette plunge to the ground as he pulled the two away from Iona, pushing Tweedledum and Tweedledee towards their mother, "I'm sorry about them, I don't know why the King invited them." he said to Iona, sticking a hand out in greeting, "But I'm Chester. Who're you?" his gaze didn't linger on her ears and tail, they weren't so out of place, considering the other members of this town, after all. He was used to oddities - wasn't Chester one himself, after all?
Jeremiah watched it all unfold with a small smile. He'd known Chester would be able to take care of it, so he turned and walked towards the snack table, popping a cracker in his mouth, and licking his fingers cheerfully, enjoying the cracker's salty taste in his mouth. He was the King of Hearts, after all, and the only member of his new director's family that mattered was his new director, as well. Jeremiah, however, did nod, a small smile of thanks on his face as he walked past Chester to greet the new arrivals.

Iona was about to blow up at the twins. She hated kids... But when the man 'saved' her, she only looked at him, slightly unsure. Knowing this job was important for her father, she rached out and shook his hand. "i am Iona,'' She said simply, her voice cool and wild sounding, for in the lab, even her voice was tampered with. ''Known as the Science Demon,'' She said with a hiss at the nickname the world had given her.

Dee and Dum both ran towards Jeremiah upon noticing him, clinging to his legs in much the same way they'd clung to Iona's. He shot his wife an apologetic look as he lifted them up into his arms, one twin on each shoulder. They weighed enough to make his knees sag, "You two need to get to the gym once in a while." he teased Dee and Dum. "NO!" they both wailed in the same breath, and Jeremiah sighed, dropping them onto the ground and sending them scampering towards their mother.
Chester grinned, "Science Demon? I like it. Wish they'd taken enough notice of my winning smile to name me for it." Chester teased, dropping his hand to his side, letting go of her hand lazily, wrinkling his nose slightly, "Why on earth did anyone let 'the world' call you the Science Demon?" he queried a moment later, wrinkling his nose again, "I wouldn't really let anyone call my kid 'the Science Demon' ears or not." Chester commented with a shrug, "I mean, my mother didn't like my 'mysterious grin' or my 'annoying habit of disappearing from tree branches with a wide smile' but she'd never let anyone call me the Cheshire Cat, you know, like the cheese I love, and because of my cat. His name is Cheshire." Chester rolled his eyes, as if that should've been obvious. "Then again, humans are so odd." he spoke as if he wasn't a human, and a lazy grin danced across his face once more.

Iona smiled slightly. Finally someone who understood her situation. ''The news and press does alot to ones name,'' she said with a shrug. She was silent for a moment and then nodded to Chester. ''Humans are odd,'' She said with a slightly larger smile. ''Why couldnt someone like yourself adopt me?'' She asked with a small, bark like laugh that made her ruby eyes glitter

He frowned as he listened to her, "The press?" he echoed, frowning slightly, "I'd like to get my hands on anyone foolish enough to think that they can name anyone 'the Science Demon'" Chester bared his fangs - and oh yes, there were fangs, just big enough that they were noticeable as fangs, his canine teeth were dangerous, quite certainly. Chester laughed, "Because I'm not old enough to adopt anyone." Chester rolled his eyes, "I'm 20 years old, and that's not old enough for any agency to let me adopt without being married or something odd like that." Chester shrugged, a small smile on his face, a remnant of his fierce anger on that same face, his canines resting on his lower lip as he continued, "Of course, I like kids, but Dee and Dum are going to scar me for life." Chester said with a short laugh.

Iona was slightly shocked. He seemed so much older by maturity level that she would have never guessed that he was that young...only three years older than herself. She laughed slightly. ''I think they just did it for me,'' She said as she shot another look over to the twins. She shivered. She was going to have nightmares now about those two.

Chester shook his head, a hint of anger dancing in his eyes as he spoke again, "How cruel of them. Humans really are weird. And cruel, for that matter. I don't like 'em much, but you're not that bad... Then again, you're not really human, are you?" Chester examined Iona curiously, wrinkling his nose slightly as he watched her, "I thought you were too nice to be a human." he commented lazily, before shrugging, "Not that I really mind either way. I'm just glad to have someone who's not weird to talk to." Chester gave a slow grin, the wide smile he was so famous for, the one that stretched from ear to ear, and bared nearly every tooth.

Iona couldnt help but smile, baring her own large feline fangs that had been placed in her mouth. ''Human like body, animal innards, new beast by spirit,'' She said with a small giggle. She was beginning to like this man, though he was odd. She wrinkled her nose slightly. ''You like cats, judging by your smell...so i think you will be somewhat pleased to know that i am part cat,'' She said as she bowed slightly, a teasing smile on her face.
