A haunting howl fills the air. It is late at night in a town dubbed Reality, Michigan. It is populated by both the paranormal and the normal, where they coexist in peace - for the most part. The occasional vampire will be killed by a werewolf, and vice versa. However, despite these occasional clashes, these two groups get along for the most part. Life might not be perfect, but it is good enough for most.
Reality is not quite a city, but it's not a town, really, either. It's around the size of Ocean City (Which really is TINY, but still. x.x), with a considerably larger population.
The city-town isn't one of those tiny towns where everyone knows everyone and goes to the same church, but it's not so big that no one knows anyone. The people (emphasis on people) here are quite welcoming, though those who live on the outskirts of Reality are less friendly, and more eccentric (*coughWEREWOLVESANDVAMPIREScough*).
....Welcome to Reality, don't expect to leave us any time soon.

A large, black figure wound its way through the trees, nose pressed to the ground. It could be mistaken for a large dog if one were foolish, but upon closer examination it revealed itself to be a wolf. A rather large - for a wolf, anyways - black wolf.
The creature paused, tilting his head to examine his surroundings. Perhaps a good howl to get the children shivering in their beds would be enjoyable... It only took him a few seconds to decide.
He threw his head backwards, and a howl escaped him, dancing across the horizon.
((haha, and there goes my muse. x.x))

A howl. Not an unusual sound in Reality. So normal was it to Maikoda's ears that it was comforting to her as her body shifted, twisted and changed. Comfort was replaced by pain. She could feel it. She could feel it all. The sound of the distant howl became distorted as her ears grew, points formed on the tip as they seemed to move to the top of her skull. More pain... so much more pain shot through her as growls and whimpers echoed and shook her chest. Cracking sounds began to ring as her limbs grew and took a slightly different shape. Her skull began to elongate and her teeth began to grow and reshape. Tingiling senation over her skin made her itch. Her long copper hair began to grow over her limbs and body, making her a golden copper color. Her golden honey eyes grew feirce looking as her pupals turned to thin slits. Snarls of fear and pain was all that Maikoda could hear and feel now. A long bushy tail grew from her back end. Long black nails formed claws on her finger tips as her feet grew so that she was walking on her toes like a canine. Her shoes, jacket and peices of shirt and jeans now lay scattered over the ground of a long forgotten park. Soon, everything fell silent. No sounds, not even sounds of crickets, echoed in the night air. All Maikoda could hear was her own even breathing. She was on her knees, her paw like hands on the ground, supporting her painfilled, shaking form, preventing her from falling into the cool grass. Her gold eyes starred at the dark green grass, focused on nothing but getting rid of the pain and trying to keep under control. Scents of humans drifted to her nose, but she didnt move, still trying her best to keep her werewolf instincts under control. Kids. She could hear them. THey were young teens and kids. Maikoda tensed, she could feel her instincts rushing through her veins, the want to kill, the want to taste their blood in her maw. Her heart began to race, but she closed her eyes and slowed her breath. Slowly, she began to calm. A startled scream from on child made her eyes shoot open. A snarl shook her chest as she bared her white fangs. Drool dripped from her maw as she thought about warm bleeding flesh in her mouth. She threw her head back and a haunting howl escaped her, the sound crawled towards the moon and over the town-city. Her howl said many things... But most of all, it told all that Maikoda was shifted, And ready to kill.

His human ears detected the howl almost as well as wolf's ears would've (well, not quite, but his hearing was sharper than a normal human's). A female howl, and an angry one at that. Nathan smiled to himself, a smile that pulled back his lips and revealed sharp teeth.
"I'm on my way~" he muttered to himself in a singsong-y voice as he walked forward, his bare feet resting on the ground for an instant before he pushed off, his pale skin glowing in the moonlight as he moved forward, seeming to know the pathways almost as well as he knew the back of his hand.
When he arrived on the scene, he discovered a large wolf with slavering jaws, and he examined her, tilting his head curiously. A wolf would not grow that large on its own, besides, several werewolves grew that large and then some. Maybe another rogue werewolf hunted these parts.
Well, he'd have to take care of her, then. Rogue or not, that large, she threatened their existence. Nathan licked his lips, pulling them back in a feral snarl. "You there. Abnormally large wolf." he clarified, narrowing his eyes, "Don't be foolish."
Nathan grinned to himself, his lips pulling back further, his sharp canines thrown into sudden contrast with his skin in the moonlight. The Alphas always got the fun around here - now he could have his own fun.

Maikoda's ears flicked towards the voice, but her eyes had drifted back to the grass. She didnt want to harm... More drool still dripped to the ground from her now closed maw. No pain went through her body now, but she could feel rage and hunger. Not the normal emotions of hunger and rage, but on the severe scale. Whimpers began to shake from her chest. Her eyes finally began to drift to the voice that she ahd heard. The full moon's light reflected from her honey colored eyes now, giving them an eery look in the darkness. Her pelt also reflected the light. ''Harm...'' Her growling voice was soft, and showed signs of her musical human voice. ''I want to do none...'' Her voice was not only growling but mixed with her wimpers. Her words were choppy, for speech was hard for her when in her werewolf form. All she cared about though was that words escaped her. She needed help...She WANTED help. She didnt want to harm another like she had in her original home. Her intincts wanted to lunge at him, wanted to taste the warm blood, to feel soft flesh in bewteen fangs, but no. She couldnt. She couldnt harm another, even if he was like her, though she wasnt too sure.

There was a flicker of amusement in his eyes as she spoke. "You speak in your other form. Interesting enough - I do believe that Rono would be unhappy if I killed you. He could use you well." Nathan looked over the wolf's body. "Perhaps that would be worse than living as a monster, though. Living with Rono is a chore unto itself, but working for him would be even worse." he idly got the feeling that he was talking to himself, so he went on with a tight smile.
"Don't look at me like that. I could take anything you threw at me and then some." he exhaled loudly, snorting. "You couldn't harm me even if you wanted to." a more genuine smile graced his face as he watched her, shifting his weight onto his back foot subtly.
He glanced at the sky, and at the moon that climbed steadily upwards, "Nice weather we're having, eh?"

Maikoda snarled. ''Taunting'' She snapped. Her eyes sparked as she looked back towards the sound of the children. ''You go then,'' She said in choppy speech. She was in no mood to be teased. She was having a hard time keeping under control as it was, and she knew that if anymore anger krept into her chest, she would explode. With a grunt, she lifted herself up onto her hind legs and raised her nose to the air, taking in the cool scent. Peices of her jeans and shirt still clung to her body, but her shoes and everything else rested on the ground. The only thing that wasnt broken was the dreamcatcher necklace around her neck. She fell back down to all fours and began to pad off, away from the children, and away from nathan, drool still dripping as he stomach growled.

He shrugged idly, "Well, we are having nice weather. I'm not taunting. Just having my fun before I have to bring you in, ya know?" Nathan snorted as she walked off, moving after her. Rono was not a good person to have angry with you, and once he heard what Nathan had let go, he'd be dead, unless he brought her in. And considering how many people would be glad to see him gone, he was gonna bring her in if it was the last thing he did.
Nathan snorted to himself as he walked, his feet crunching against the leaves. He wasn't hiding his presence from her at all.

Maikoda walked, her ears pinned back as she listened to his foot falls. She was following a scent half heartedly, towards a lone raccoon, but she stopped dead and turned to look at nathan. She looked at his feet, angered by his non silent treding. ''Help you, can i?'' She growled as her eyes narrowed. Her tail lashed to the side as she could hear the 'coon come closer, then run off after it spotted them. Her eyes then went to the moon. A heavy sigh, mixed with a growl escaped her. Hours still....hours.

"Yoda, are we now?" he replied calmly, holding back a snicker as he noted where she was heading - a raccoon? She really must be desperate. Nathan's lips twitched upwards as he followed her gaze upwards. She watched the moon.
"You know, they say the moon spoke to us once." he commented idly, "They said she spoke to us, and gave us a second form so that we could sing praise to her, and she would sing to us. But we failed her, and she left us, leaving only her most beloved with our second forms, abandoning the rest of us to be wolves forever so that we might mourn her disappearance. It's a pretty story. You should listen to it at some point." Nathan turned his gaze back towards the earth.

Maikoda snarled and looked at him. Her paw like hand drifted to her necklace. ''Stories...I know,'' She said softly as let out a small snarl. She lowered her gaze again. Stories.... So many stories. She had heard them all, but now, she was one of those stories. ''Me, not bitten,'' She said sitting back, her ears still twitching as she tried to keep calm. She wondered if he would understand her, or if she would have to wait until sunrise. She began to dig a small indent into the soil with one black claw like nail. She fell silent. Her stomach began to complain to her. Hunger. Her mouth watered as the distant sound of the children reached her again. She wanted to kill. Killing...it was in her now.......
