outofcoke;; This is where you may find the roleplays that take place in the camp, for expample, right now, there's a large storm going on, and any roleplay taking place at this time would be posted here if it took place in the camp, however any other roleplays can take place at any other time during the season of winter, but they will not be posted here, okay peoples? This is for our universal roleplay!

Windsinger blinked, trying to decide what she could say to that, "Well," she said weakly "I guess that since you're here now, we don't have to dwell on the past." She swept her tail comfortingly across his shoulder, before moving closer so that she rested by his side, their pelts brushing. "It doesn't matter anymore, not now that we have each other." Windsinger said firmly, though a note of happiness had danced into her voice by her last few words. Still, she didn't look ready to allow him to disagree with what she was saying.

Matsi stood beside a small bush, watching the pack. Beside her, her brother, Moon, stood. He seemed to make her look tiny and old. They were talking quietly.

Blackfang nodded. "The past is the past - we should live in the present." He grinned. "Or, at least, that's what a wise old wolf once told me." He nuzzled Windsinger's shoulder, enjoying the feel of her fur. Having her with him just felt so... right. "You're right," he whispered. "When we're together, nothing else matters..."

Matsi looked around for shadow. She needed him right now. Moon too was looking around. ''Where did he go off to?'' Matsi asked her brother with a snarl.

Windsinger smiled, "The present, I find, is far better than the past. Yesterday has happened, you can't change it, and tommorow never comes. The present is what we must focus on. That's what a wise old wolf told me." she snorted, smiling again. She leaned into his muzzle and smiled again, "You are quite right." she murmured, "This was worth walking for moons..."

"He sounds like he was a wise wolf indeed," whispered Blackfang. Indeed - what did the past matter? It all seemed to lead to this. And what of the future? It was theirs to shape however they wanted...
He licked her cheek gently, locking his eyes, bright with love, with hers. "Yes, it was..." he whispered, thinking of his wanderings. Then he lost himself in her eyes...

Windsinger smiled, "He was. His name was Ashtooth. He was a brave old male." a hint of old compassion entered her voice, but it was gone a moment later as she added to her earlier words, "Not quite as brave as you, but brave enough..." she complimented him. Windsinger smiled. "I'm just glad I'll be here, with you, when I end my days..." she said gently, knowing that it was true with all her heart.

Ashtooth? The name sounded vaguely familiar, but Blackfang couldn't place it. He mentally shrugged. It wasn't very important, anyway... He chuckled at Windsinger's words. "Brave? There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity." He'd learned that from countless 'brave' wolves he'd met. "I just try and apply some common sense to any situation..."
He nuzzled her. "Don't talk about that. We've still got many years to live..." Well, assuming something didn't happen. The pack's life was rather unpredictable...
He turned to glance around the snowy clearing. "Weren't we looking for your brother?"

Windsinger snorted, "True." she said, laughing, "Very true. But I believe he walked that line well. He was an elder of our pack, so it wasn't as if he went charging into every battle he could find. Physically he didn't look like a fighter, but he was. He clung to life for quite a while..." She wasn't sure if he was still alive. Things hadn't been going well with the pack when she'd left. "We can't garuntee that, you know. But I plan on dying right here. This is my home now." Windsinger smiled, "It's my home..." Windsinger shrugged, when he went on, "Depends on whether or not you want to see him." Windsinger commented, with another shrug.

Blackfang raised an eyebrow. An elder? Those were typically the last wolves describe as brave... But he didn't doubt Windsinger's judgement. Appearance - or age, for that matter - wasn't everything, after all...
He nodded, acknowledging the truth in her words. "Nothing is certain... But yes, this is my home, as well."
Blackfang frowned momentarily. "I'm not looking forward to it..." Then he shrugged. "But he is your brother - he deserves to know. Besides, he'll probably be rather unhappy if you don't tell him..."

Windsinger gave a small smile. "Ashtooth was the one who comforted me when Shadow was exiled, you know. He told me, not long after, that we loved each other and that we'd find each other. Sometimes I wonder which one of them he was talking about, but Darkclaw is dead. He had to have been talking about Shadow..." she snorted unhappily, before shaking herself, bringing herself back to the real world. "Sorry," Windsinger said, "It must me be odd to hear me talking about that kind of stuff." A smile spread across Windsinger's face, "Do you want to know what made it home for me?" she nudged his shoulder playfully, "You did." She snorted as he continued. "You sure can put a damper on any mood." Windsinger laughed to show she was joking before going on, "But you're right. Let's go find him, not that we can see a thing..."

Matsi threw back her head and, with moon also, howled for Shadow. Matsi's howl was weaker than Moon's and small sparks of fire danced from her maw. She seemed to be 13, not 5 summers.
