She smiled. "We may get along well..." Though she doubted it. Still, anything that made Crystal more useful was worth trying...
"Then I'll take your word for it," she replied, her voice carrying silent promise. She trusted no one; it was all a matter of determining when they would betray her. Then she got rid of them. It always went that way...
She nodded slowly. "You have the basics. However, there's quite a lot more going on, and... well, let's say the pack is somewhat divided. Matsi's decisions are frequently objected to, and with all the new loners and oher wolves joing recently, there's quite a few wolves, who, in truth, do not have much loyalty to the pack. And, of course, there's Firepaw and Sunfire." She grinned. "That provides some of the most fertile grounds for manipulation I've ever encountered. Firepaw has proven quite easy to persuade. I'm... indoctrinating him, and training him as well. I don't want him harmed. And don't kill Sunny, either, or Firepaw's anger at his brother will be useless..."
She turned her eyes on Frostfire, though her words were addressed to both of them. "And don't kill Seshana, either. Firepaw seems to have... feelings for her. It would be far better to kill her when we can use her death to feed his anger..."

Crystal flicked her ear. "Getting along has nothing to do with liking." she commented. "I appreciate your methods. I like you because of what you came up with. I doubt I'll get along with you."
Crystal shrugged slightly. "Oh well. I honestly don't mind if you believe me or not."
Crystal smiled slightly, "Yes. Breaking the pack shall be easy. Loners join packs for convenience. They leave just as quickly. That will leave the pack with a small number of wolves, and they are not really fighters, I take it?"

She shrugged again. "It doesn't matter. All that matters is that we accomplish our goal." Preferably alive, of course, but that wasn't entirely necessary. If she could manage to accomplish her vengeance completely, she'd do it, even if it cost her her life. After all, what was her life but vengeance?
She nodded. "Correct. If the pack lands on troubled times, the loners will leave. The Frost Pack is small, even with the loners added. Without them, it's practically defenseless. Both Shadow and Matsi are old, and each has a crippling injury of some sort. The only real fighters are Blackfang, Windsinger, Sahara, and Dark, now that Saerue's dead - he died about an hour ago. The rest of the pack is all young wolves and pups, unable to put up much of a fight. They should be easy prey, and even easier if the Cave Pack takes advantage of our attack to fight as well." She shrugged. "Then we can just kill them when we're done. The most difficult part will be ensuring that none of them escape..."

Crystal paused for an instant before she nodded her head in agreement. She could practically see Coal, almost hear his voice in his ear. You've gotten in way over your head. Should've flown solo. Still, she chalked it down to nerves, and pushed the not-quite voice aside.
Crystal laughed at the thought of such bloodshed, "That won't be so hard. If they can be fooled into thinking that Matsi or Shadow have ordered them to stay there and fight, they won't leave. And I can imitate Matsi's voice well enough, and they won't doubt Soulfire. All we'd have to do would be kill her first." Even if that would sacrifice her plans to torture her mother, she could do the next best thing. Kill her mother.

She nodded slowly. "That could work well. It would have to be done quickly, though, before they realized she was dead. We'd probably have to kill Fornae, as well, since his mind-reading skills might tell him what's going on." She shrugged. "Then again, I doubt it. Still, it pays to be prepared for everything."
"Now, to kill Matsi, we'd have to catch her away from the camp. She doesn't leave it much anymore, though. We'll need something that would force her to investigate it personally... but alone, as well. I'd have Firepaw do it, but he's not at a point where he'd kill his mother, or even willingly participate in her death. So we need to make sure he doesn't realize I was involved, either." She shrugged. "Which shouldn't be that hard, considering he has no idea what I look like or what I can do..."

Crystal grinned wickedly, "I'm all for it. Besides which, getting rid of Fornae can't be too hard. Just think seductive thoughts, and he'll come running. Most males do." she snorted to herself, continuing on briskly, "You're right, it doesn't hurt to be prepared. And this can't be too hard."
Crystal smirked, "Honestly, I can help with that. Matsi will be curious about a young female who controls soulfire. She'll investigate, I'm sure. And Fornae won't be too hard. He isn't trained to fight, after all."

She laughed softly. "Somehow, I doubt that would work on Fornae. He seems to be occupied with Tipony." She shrugged. "Then again, it might work..." She looked thoughtful. Firepaw had feelings for Sesh, and Fornae was Sesh's brother, but Sesh disliked Tipony with Fornae. Perhaps Firepaw might be able to play a small part here...
She nodded. "Yes, she would be curious. But curious enough to investigate it alone? She's weak now - she knows better than to go wandering in dangerous territory. Besides, she might guess that it's you. She'd have no way to prove it, of course, but if she suspects something, she might take Shadow or Dark along." She shrugged nonchalantly. "Depends on who she feels closer to at the moment."

Crystal shrugged, "Tipony? Isn't she that idiot with the freakish eyes?" she snorted, "Whatever. I shall try and come up with something else." she shrugged again. "Something more effective. Perhaps I shall rope in some help."
Crystal grinned, "Matsi is a fool. She just might. Especially since I doubt she knows what I've become. She'll expect a skittish, scarred female. I'm certainly not that female." she laughed dryly, "But Matsi might just come out for that."

"Yes, that's her. She's actually more of a threat than you might expect - with her ability to converse with everything, she might be able to track us. Though she'd have to know we're out there first. And we don't need to worry about it anywhere around here - I've made sure that nothing around here will talk to her. Or, if it does, it'll tell her lies." She shrugged. "In essence, there isn't a single thing anyone can do to us while we remain in these tunnels or near the vicinity of their entrances. As for bringing in some help... Well, don't reveal the tunnels, and don't tell them more than they need to know. And remember that anyone you bring in is disposable."
"She might. Unfortunately, the thing about fools is that they tend to make stupid decisions - at least, with the information they have..." She shrugged carelessly. "Then again, it's a chance we have to take. Is there anywhere in particular you think would make a good ambush point? Somewhere she could be easily lured to but not escape from?"

Crystal inclined her head, "That was smart of you." she did wonder how the female had managed to ensure that their surroundings would lie to Tipony, but that wasn't her buisness. If the earth or whatever told Tipony she was there, it would still be fun to kill her. Blood was easy to spill, especially that of females who thought they were powerful. "Disposable. Of course." Crystal managed to keep the annoyance from her voice, knowing that they had to be exactly sure that each person in this cavern knew everything relevant to their plan.
Crystal paused, "I'd suggest either near the Cave Pack territory boundary or by the lake, but neither or those would work that well. Matsi wouldn't go out by the Cave Pack turf with the entire pack at her back, and the lake too close to the camp. Perhaps somewhere in the forest, just far enough from the camp that they couldn't hear her scream...?"

She shrugged. "I take precautions. I've had too many surprises in my life as it is - being surprised again wouldn't be fun... and it might be fatal." She smiled slightly, though it wouldn't be visible. "Just as disposable as you are. At least, until you prove that you're valuable enough to keep around. Nothing personal, of course." She'd pay any price to gain her vengeance - and besides, having Crystal around was a risk. The fewer wolves who knew about her, the better.
Then again, it was possible Crystal might turn out to be a useful asset, in which case she wouldn't be disposable anymore. It didn't seem likely, but she knew that the impossible had been known to happen...
"You're right - neither of those places would work well. As for the forest, it's too easy to escape in. That, and they've still got one plant wolf who might be able to find her." She shook her head. "No, it needs to be somewhere else... somewhere not safe for her, but not immediately dangerous, either. Perhaps somewhere outside the pack's lands, where the loners wander. After all, you are a loner technically, so Matsi wouldn't think it was too unreasonable that you'd be out that far..."

Crystal shrugged, "I don't mind. I've been disposable for my entire life. And yet I'm still here. Surprising, isn't it?" she didn't take offense, because she knew that if she could kill the other two, they would've been disposable, too. But two against one was not a fight she could win, so she wasn't even going to go there. She would live with being disposable to them, and prove herself to the two sooner or later. And then she'd get rid of them. She wasn't likely to share her life with anyone, if she could help it.
Crystal shrugged briskly, "If it's that far out, it's likely she will bring Shadow or someone similar. Still, that won't be an issue. I can take care of two wolves, especially if one of them is as weak as Matsi. The rest I can freeze." there was a flicker of amusement in Crystal's eyes as she thought of the havoc she would wreak upon the pack if Matsi was dead.

She laughed bitterly. "Not especially. The surprising part would be that you aren't an emotional wreck. Disposable to everyone - friends, enemies, dead, living, your parents... It would have destroyed most wolves by now. That you've managed to survive proves that you're strong. If you can use that strength, you'll do quite well in life. It's quite useful, how it frees you from weakness." She grinned ferally. "It lets you be cold and calculating, rather than consumed by emotions..."
She nodded. "True. But she probably wouldn't bring Shadow. After all, he isn't your father, and he probably wouldn't appreciate being sent out to look for his mate's pup by another male. And she wouldn't take Dark, either, because that would make Shadow mad. Her options are fairly limited. Besides, getting them separated in unknown territory to them shouldn't be too hard." She nodded at Frostfire. "And you won't need to worry about taking out two alone, either. Frostfire will go with you whenever we do it. We aren't willing to take the risk that a stroke of bad luck might get you killed and set us back too far. Plus, she'll be able to access your fighting capabilities..."

Crystal shrugged, "I'm not most wolves. You are not most wolves. You wouldn't have let me come here if I were most wolves." she couldn't resist pointing that out, but she subsided into silence after that, "Emotionless... It is an interesting state to be in. To know that you are a monster, and enjoy it." Crystal grinned ferally.
Crystal nodded her head at the wisdom of the stranger's words, "Espescially if this snow keeps up." she cast a glance upwards, at the snow whitened world above them. "Asses them all you want. You might find that I'm useless, you might not. Either way, I don't care. I'll die sooner or later, if I'm useless, it'll merely be sooner. But I will at least have had my chance at Matsi."

"True enough," she acknowledged. "And yes, it is interesting. More so when you are hunting another monster. Sometimes to defeat your enemy you must become them..."
"The snow won't go on much longer. It'll stop in hours, and then it'll just be a white wasteland." She nodded approvingly. "That is the kind of dedication I wish from you. If you can keep that dedication, you will do quite well..." She laughed, the sound echoing eerily about the chamber. She might not get her vengeance today, or tomorrow, or even for months, maybe years. But she would get it. She had all the time in the world...
