Balancing on the edge of exsistence

[Frosty]

Surge sat on the very edge of a cliff edge. He looked down with a sigh. A large rock jutted up and as he spread his wings, wind buffeted his body, but not strong enough to send him careening towards the bottom. He stood and took a staggered stance, spreading his wings out farther and leaping of the cliff. The wind sent him sailing and he twisted a wide ark in the sky, peering at the ground below him. He saw the quick, brown flash of and eagle and swooped down, smashing it into the rocky side of the cliff. Then he grabbed it and brought it into his makeshift den in the cravise of a cliffwall. A warm nest of crackly braken and moss sat in the corner, piles of shifted and carved bones in the corner, weaved into a long string he had found by the waterfall. He only needed a few more to finish the necklace he would give a mate when he found one. He began eating the eagle, wishing for a pack. But he knew that was nearly impossible, even with his best and only friend, Moon, in one himself. He let his shoulders sag and his wings lay limp on the dusty ground. He sighed sadly and finished the string bird, begining to slowly carve away bones with his mind alone.

Surge finished the bones and grabbed the string, stringing the last of the beads in and tied it up. He put it on a rocky jut coming out from the wall, and slowly began a low hum. Purple light began to swirl around the necklace, and danced into all the bones. His humming got faster and the litte purple light got bigger until all the bones were purple. Purple switched to blue and the bones got a blue tint. Then he was done.

Surge spread his large wings and examined the markings. He ran out the cave and flapped his wings, soaring into the dead air, flying in wide arcs to find some good, strong thermals. He found one that sent him spiraling into the sky, through a cloud. He flapped his wings then folded them against his sides, plummeting towards earth. Almost to the earth, he flared his wings and stopped himself, sailing back into the air again, sighing. He enjoyed the air in his fur...

Moon sat at the foot of the cliffs. His eyes looking at the boundries of the Frost Pack. He seemed to be deep in thought as he just stared, his silvery eyes glazed and slightly out of focus.
(brain block)

Surge banked left as a flash of color whent through his vision. He turned again and landed beside Moon. "MOON!" he barked out, trotting forward. "Hello!" he cried, glad to have company. "Could I get you anything? Like a....eerrrr" then he sighed. "Well I actually don't have anything"

Indigo jumped down from the rocky ledge, balancing on a large boulder. She hopped down to the next one, then sighed when she saw to males. She lay down and her paws itched to run, but she stayed and listened and watch how these wolves acted. Her ears constantly twitched. Her head rested on her paws as she looked down farther, slipping and nearly falling onto the ground almost right by the wolves, sending a spray of gravel at them. She groaned and backed up. "Great"she sighed.

Moon jumped slightly, startled out of his transe like state. It took him a moment to remember whom Surge was. ''Oh..Surge,,'' He said with a small nod. ''No, i am fine,'' He said softly, still half in a daze. He looked around. ''I wondered what hapened to you,'' He said with a small laugh. Moon then turned and snarled at the female. His fur stood on end as he stood, fangs bared.

[Frosty]

Surge nodded then leaped to his feet. He looked at the female but didn't snarl, just tilted his head. "Hello?" he asked, his voice firm but kind.

Indigo whimpered and backed up against the rock, her stance ready to run or fight, her eyes wild with fear. She looked around. "Please don't attack!"she shrieked. Her ears lay against her skull and she tried to take another step back.

Moon snorted and turned. He had not reason to attack a loner when he was out of the packs boundries. He could feel her fear, so he took her as no threat. He looked back to the pack boundries and began to think again.

Indigo relaxed and a thin layer of sand spiraled around her as she jumped delicatly down, her stance hesitant as she went to greet the wolves. Her eyes narrowed as she stood lightly infront of them. "Hello?" she said.

Moon only snorted and ignored the female. He didnt need another female in his life, the ones in them already were causing him enough head pains. His fin-like tail wrapped around his flanks as he sat back down and sigh-growled to himself.

Surge backed up and sat down, allowing Indigo room to sit. He nodded once and lay down.

Indigo backed up and teetered a second over the edge of the cliff, pulling herself up and taking a few steps away from Moon, her lips curled up over her teeth, the beggining of a growl sliding through her teeth. Moons tale looked just like the old traitors, Deren. She snarled at the name and looked and surge quickly. He was large and had feathery, marked wings. She cocked her head a second then looked away towards Moon again, her neck fur standing on end.

Moon's ears were facing the female. But he showed no intrest in her. His eyes were still out of focus, but his attention was half on her as he sat there. He noticed surge, but didnt do or say anything to either of them

Indigo snarled again then turned and fled up the mountain, her ears flat against her head, her tail bushy, sand flying out behind her. She shrieked and raced across the rocks until she was out of sight. She sat down and sighed. Males...she lay down and thought about the other wolf. His golden fur... she shook her head. She hadn't thought like this about anyone but Deren...

Surge watched as she fled. "Wait!" he called then sighed. He turned to moon. "Wonder what her problem was?" he asked, real curiosity in his voice.

Moon snorted. ''Who cares. Untill Spring, this land cannot support anymore mouths to feed.'' He said as he didnt move his gaze. His tail moved ever so slightly, but that was all.
